Thread: Conforming to a Horse | Forum: Poser Technical
figured it out, the horse character by default (even when you zero the figure) has the hips offset by 0.4 on the Y scale, once i found this it was easy to fix.

Thanks a lot guys! Actually the bit about re-adding the cr2 to the library after you make the hierarchy and add it the first time seems to have fixed my problem. I have never use a PHI builder but i guess i should start. Is this something you do in poser or a little app that you get? thanks again, Brian
Thread: Creating conforming Clothing question... | Forum: Poser Technical
wow what you did sounds complicated. i use the box method... its simple, and your conformer never moves. first i import a cube so that it will completely cover vicki's body. doesnt matter how big the cube is, because you just mess with the "figure size" setting when you import it until it pops in at the right size (you may have to tweak the offset setting also for imported objects) and completely covers her. (for me the setting is 150% of standard figure size) next i just export vicki's body completely concealed inside the large box, as an obj (export her AND the box). in my modeler i separate her from the box (hide the box for later use) make the clothing to fit her body, then export the clothing inside the box which i unhide. in poser you import it at 150% of figure size, or whatever it was for you originally, and POOF conformer appears exactly on her. this is what you would do if it's a joint centering problem i think, which is what it sounded like.

ok i did just pick up PBoost 1.3, looks really cool. having trouble getting it to do anything though lol, even after looking at the tutorials. ok, some of my MAT files were like "wiped" by the correction routine ("..." was insterted for materials, which were working fine before except for the annoying question every time that i posted above). So how do i go about using PBoost to correct those MAT files and stick the textures back in there for the materials that need them? thanks!

er, looks like a good utility, but i dont know if anybody has all their textures in one folder lol, all of my libraries probably reference 20 different folders for textures (just think of all the products/textures/characters people purchase or download) im giving it a shot right now though nonetheless lol
