Oh, don't mind my little fit. I just haven't adjusted very well to life as a grown-up. And I've had your entire lifetime to do it! (Waah, again.) I think your shaders look very cool. And yes, I think you could probably sell them. They look very professional. I've noticed before that you have a good hand with shaders. --Terri

Whoa. Back up a sec. Did Izuel just say he was only 14? And already so talented? Waah. Me go cry in fit of jealousy now. --Terri (feeling her age today)

I think "Second Nature" would be an excellent name. I did a search in Google for the phrase (see attached link), and while there were hits, (there is an ecology group by that name, for example), the only software-related one was for some sort of nature screen saver. So I don't think there would be a name-conflict. --TerriThread: ......cigarette anyone? | Forum: Carrara
Hey! Where's the Surgeon General's warning?! Well done. The texuring is really good. Have you tried making a lit version, with a red glowing tip and smoke? Actually, that would make an interesting subject for animation, watching the cigarette burn and turn to ash. The majority of the animation would take place in the texturing. --Terri

If you want to play with a bit of freeware to learn a little about modeling, I think Anim8or is pretty fun. It can export/import OBJ, so you can use it with programs you already have.Thread: Tutorial to make material loader files... MAT files for poser. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks, Colm. Very timely, too, as I'm working on turning a model I did into a Poser figure. It'll be nice to be able to include a proper material file. Nice web page, by the way. --Terri
Thread: Boolean with primatives..? | Forum: Carrara
Yes. I have been unable to use primatives in the Assembly room. Haven't tried them in the Spline Modeler.

There's a bit of smear on the upper thigh, where the seams meet. It probably won't matter for me though, as I think I want a more solid-color cartoony look. You may be right about the lipstick. They probably wear all kinds of body paint. Of course, it might make their women feeled kind of cheated, once it washes off. Sort the equivalent of stuffing one's bra. --Terri

It's kind of hard to tell from this angle, but the legs do now bend the other way. I left them kind of straight in hopes that would make it easier to but the bones in via the ProPack.

No, I think he's a guy. I think the females would be various shades of brown, practically speaking. The guys get colorful when they hit puberty. Or so it seems to me. They're kind of growing in my head. --Terri

Thanks, Chip. The textures are all from a bmp (Windows Paint, yet). I was trying to figure out how the UVMapper works. I think I mostly understand it, though I'm not that great at drawing textures. But I wanted to have the option, in case I can convince a friend of mine who is good at textures to do some painting for me. Or in case anyone else wanted to play with this guy when I get him done.
