And just think for a bit... Being able to maintain a style while working on a scene is pretty hard. When you get pieces from all different sources, the scene can end up something like Fraziers apartment. Nothing matches. Sometimes that's good, sometimes it's not... But now you have the "option". All the work has been done for you, all props are sized up and proportioned correctly, "grouped and famalied" for easy texturing/object selection. 200 mats?!? That alone is a grand deal, not to mention about 40 atmospheric settings... A -complete- set for Bryce. Everything you would need to build full flavor empires without having to leave Bryce for a second. I also kept in mind how Brycers do different things, so one person can make sci-fi, fantasy, and even romantic scenes using the same props but different mats and/or figures... This is not 1 gazeebo for 5 bucks... You get ALOT of ALOT of Bryce presets... Mats, objects, skies...

Well, that's as much as a glass of mt. dew can offer :D

hmmmm... im speaking w/ regards to the dte specifically... dont get me wrong, i know a good water when i see one :D i mean at what point does the dte "decide" to call the material water when the refraction is set to 133...

what "conditions" tells bryce to -label- the refraction as water... (glass at 153 and air at 100)

its art if "you" say it is... censorship is -unamerican- last time i checked, if people like it or not is another question... and dont confuse fine art w/ commercial art... they ARE both art forms (or forms of art?!?) w/ different "purposes"... but yes, your image is "art" in my opinion, and would serve a purpose to many... a video game box cover or a graphic for a newpaper story... .0002 cents :D

i used to be afraid of the dte. its not that its hard, its that it doesnt make "sense"... all the words and terminology buried into that make it so much more confusing than it really is, and the manual (or at least the 1 that came w/ bryce 4) didnt do a good job explaining it at all... even with the most elaborate tutorial, trial and error is the only way to get used to the dte. you need to "see" what happens as it goes down, and there are truly 1000's of different combos to try, manipulate, learn and explore... a standing ovation for the effort and time put into this bryster :D

i feel like such a heel, i dont even comment 1/2 the time. if i really like something, i send them a "personal" im, i think its -better- like that... do you realize how much good stuff is at this site?!? for every vote you cast, youve missed at least 5 im sure. the only way to be "fair", is to vote for no one at all (or is that the introvert in me talking?!?). they should have something that "rotates" thumbs on the 1st page as they are uploaded for exposure... i dont think any voting system would be fair. people upload all the time, all over the world. theres like 1000's of bryce artists here... a "top 20" doesnt do for all the talent stuffed in here... ive blabbed and babbled enuff, but that is my .02 "sense"...

go outside and stare at the moving clouds for 10 minutes... then find a tree and rip off a piece of the bark to look at all the insects scurry in the open air. keep staring until something hits you... (or until something crawls on you) :D

something i noticed... mr. sharpe says to "...switch off receive shadows"... can we actually turn off shadows for different objects in the scene?!? this is totally new info to me that could be of great use.
