There are almost too many good things in this picture to list. The less obvious one is the nice transparent sweater. I'm curious to know how you did this, since you explained everything else perfectly. (Is it something real obvious like a Free Stuff download I missed?) The color of the sweater compliments the hair beautifully. -Talos the Impressed

Delightfully loathesome and nightmarish, as usual! :-) It is interesting how you do these things. I can only sculpt in clay and cast aluminum wire/foam rubber puppets, but I wish I wasn't CG-impaired!
Thread: Looks Like Scully (WIP almost finished) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm excited about the good likeness, scarab is right about the hair and lip color, (the ubiquitous "ketchup effect"), Allerleirauh's suggestions are excellent, a gorgeous woman like Scully should have a hair transmap, and that's "AUBURN", you guys! Caps for legibility, not shouting.

You are right- I kind of suspected that. Good plan. I go now to get a Borg brain implant. :-)

A most triumphant skin texture. Thanks for great tutorial. She seems a bit under-dressed for a Borg, but then, you can see more of the great skin texture. Hmmm.

Aw Gee-:-) I didn't make the connection with your name because of information overload from checking both galleries and forums. The Albertosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus look about the same to anyone but a paleontologist, both living in the redwood forests along the shores of the great inland sea. It didn't really look like a dragon to me, and Morbid probably assumed it was a dragon since they are mentioned in Lord of the Rings, whereas the Albertosaurus is not. If you are married to the concept of an Albertosaurus sail, who shall complain? Me, the dinosaur nut?

Morbid's tip on dragons was useful (for me too). I would add that although I LIKE the 3/4 view T-Rex portrait, it doesn't look sufficiently dragonish or fit the medieval style of Tolkien stories. If anything, it might be a stylized full body silhouette in side view. There is a swan for download at the Props Guild or someplace if you wanted to combine the front of the ship with an actual swan. I think the Hildebrants did an interpretaion of the swan ship on one of their calendars, might have appeared on the audio version of the trilogy.

She looks scrumptious. I love her! Love her outfit too! More! I wanna get that cute biker hat. It seems like a slightly overcast day at high noon, going by the horses. Can't quite make out the cyclist shadow, too much funny business going on in that area. I would never have seen the subliminal "sex" textures had they not been pointed out. I'm skeptical if that technique works, and anyway just the pose and the outfit creates that reaction in a much more overt way.
Thread: Gorilla Safari | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is probably the most wanted and least available model of all. I got variable results by morph-deforming the hell out of a Mr. Chaney model with only partial success. I got a monstrosity that looks gorilla-like but only works from some angles, and I have yet to create a really good bump/texture map for the mess. I should post a pic for a laugh. Maybe somebody could morph the hell out of the chimp!
Thread: Is anyone using my Spiral Permed Hair? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've been trying different lightings on it to see which light brings out the best effect. The only problem I can see is sometimes overhead lighting makes the hair transparent in areas on top of the scalp, but this is not critical. It's a very dense mesh and requires a lot of rendering time, but well worth it. I tune the color a bit to more of an auburn, 'cause the default tint is a bit "ketchup" for me. Still deciding which outfit/character works best with this style. A white Grecian robe with gold jewelry would look nice, as well as some type of medieval princess in green or dark blue velvet. Jim Burton's new black and purple cheongsam dress might be an instant hit with this hair. So like Jon says, it's a matter of finding the right outfit. New outfits could be created just to go with this hair. -Talos the Long-Winded
Thread: Another P4 Patch Bug... conforming articles... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Regarding bootsy's first post up there, I have noticed that if I save a figure with conforming clothes, I have to have the body of the main figure selected when I save it, (not clothes, hair, finger) otherwise I will create a badly screwed-up, unuseable file. Poser 3 seemed less picky. Am I wrong? I hope that this is not something super-obvious that everyone else already knows. -Talos the Simple
Thread: Feeding "THE SACK", what's growing in there? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Great stuff! Have you heard of a movie called "Monster that Challenged the world" (1957)? The monster would fit right in with your other creatures. It's a carnivorous, skull faced caterpillar/worm thing, metallic blackish green, with blank pearly eyeballs, a small forked proboscis/beak and reddish scimitar-like mandibles. About the same size as "The Sack" You'd like it! I do have pictures. Talos
