I just tried this out just to be sure.
Opened blender 2.49....with cube in scene...added a sphere...added a cylinder.
Selected all 3 objects...export...wavefront obj...saved to folder.
Close scene...opened new scene...import....wavefront...selected the file(3obj010test.obj)...
Cube, sphere, cylinder all appears.
Yes...working fine.

If you are having a Mac issue, you might want to go over to blenderartist.org to find a solution there.
There are many Mac users/developers over there that may be able to help you.
You can even upload the file so people can test it out!
I'd say that's your best bet...getting it tested by other mac users.
If this is a new issue, you might want to report this bug...someone might get it fixed right away.
I know that this is a non issue with Windows or Linux...2.49 or 2.50.
Works fine for me.
Are you SURE your separating the the object?
Naming each separated object differently?
Exporting in "Object" mode? Not in "Edit" mode?
Hope you find a solution.

Yes you can export multiple objects in Blender.
Select your objects in "Object" mode > File > Export > Wavefront Obj > save to where ever you want.

It's got to be a Windows 7 issue then.
I'm on XP Pro and plan to be using it for a long time.
I would go over to blender artist forums to get help there...probably more people using win7 there.

Actually...you might want to try the latest download 23768 out today
http://www.graphicall.org/builds/builds/showbuild.php?action=show&id=877
It may fix your other display problem also.
Lots of fixes been done since 23285.
Check graphicall often.
Still going to need that .Net update though.

No...1.1 will not work.
A minimum of 2.0 .net is needed...which dates back to 2005.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.NET_Framework
Most software now(past few years) needs at least 2.0.
Give that a try.

Do you have,
Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86)
installed?

Ok...32 bit used.
Try deleting the custom default blend file b25.blend(in the .blend folder) and restarting blender.
I've been using 2.50 on xp pro sp2 all along with no problems.
What video card you have?...opengl version?...drivers up to date?...laptop or desktop?
Thread: Blender 2.5 SVN 23285 | Forum: Blender
Is that 64bit xp pro?
If so...
Note: This version requires Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistribution Package (x64). (about 5MB)
The 64bit release of Blender for Windows is still in a development stage: it doesn't support all possible features yet, like FFMPEG, OpenAL and Quicktime.
If this does not work, then someone else may have an answer...I'm still new at Blender.
Can not think what else is causing this error.

Try this one from DingTo:
http://www.graphicall.org/builds/builds/showbuild.php?action=show&id=877
His is the only one I test out.
If you still have problems...you may need to install runtime components of Visual C++ libraries.
blender.org has the details there.
Edit: Oops, I see that was the link you downloaded.
I think you may have to install the Visual C++ libraries as detailed at blender.org.
I have never had an issue with this on XP pro sp2 and Blender.

In the Preferences setup...click "System" tab...in the "Window Draw Method"...try the different settings, "Triple Buffer" "Overlap" "Full".
Triple buffer is a new setting, so may be your video card can not handle it.
I'm seeing many issues with mobo video chip usage. But that's with any app.
I think the mouse problem is due to not getting all of the mouse commands finished yet.
I suspect that this will be put in very soon. Development is picking up.
Remember this will not be Beta until sometime in Oct.
Also, with not many people using Win7 yet, I think that issues may linger just a bit longer than other OS's.
Hope this helps.
Edit: to add, turn off any "Visual Effects" in Windows also, this is a problem with many apps I'm seeing.

Hi
I have been only using Blender for a few months....so not sure.
You might want to try at blenderartists.org and ask in the Composition, Visual Effects & Rendering forum...considering whats being done there, you should get an answers.
