I've also gotten the message about my scene being too complex. I've found that if I quit Vue 5 when I get the message, restart it, and reload the file I was working on, I can continue to work on it for a while before the message reappears. It's almost as if there's a memory leak somewhere. I've also gotten the message with many of the Vue 4 files I've tried loading into Vue5. I'm running Windows XP SP1 with 1 gig of RAM.

This is what I usually do in this case: Go to frame 30 and spawn a morph target from the dyamic cloth. Delete the cloth simulation (or set Dyamic for the cloth to 0) and set the new morph to 1. Next select Edit, Memorize All. Then go to frame 1 and select Edit, Restore All. Save the file, with a new name just in case something goes wrong. It should then import into Vue properly.

To get rid of the shins poking through, scale the feet to 75% and make them invisible. Then set the taper for each shin to 1%.

Thanks for Sparrow! I never expected to win her. I've only had time to do one quick render of her, but she looks great.

In the Cloth Room, in the upper left under 1. Cloth Simulation, is a Delete Simulation button. You don't have to delete the simulation if you don't want to. Setting the dress's Dynamics to 0 in the Parameter window should have the same effect.

The way I do it is to spawn a morph target from the dress. Then I delete the simulation, go to the last frame, and set the new morph target to 1. Next I do a Memorize all while still at that frame, go to the first frame, and do a Restore all. Then I save the Poser file, making sure I do a Save As so as to save the file with a different name. The dress then loads into Vue without any problems.

Probably my best "pure" Poser picture is Dragon Worshipper. Believe it or not the clouds are not a background picture, but were created with Poser 5's Material room. (The moon, however, was a photo placed on a square primitive.)
I think my best picture that uses Poser figures was The Servant Girl's Friends, mainly because I love how the lighting turned out. Just about everything in the picture is from Poser, but it was rendered in Vue d'Esprit.

When you imported the V3 OBJ, did you uncheck all the boxes on the import screen? (This is missing from step 2 in ookami's above instructions.) Your second picture is what happens if they're checked. Also, are you using the blMilWom_v3.obj?
