Thread: May challenge is closed - Voting begins. | Forum: Vue
After long hesitating, I call the help of my personal jury (my wife !) and we dscussed a long time, except that this time, I was not alone to hesitate in front of my screen. Finally, even if the audity's picture was great, we choosed to vote for the pmermino'one. My personal preference, between these two pictures, was motivated by the fact that it was realeased with the "basic" vue Materials... A special mention to LordSatyr for his excellent picture, to Koncz (your picture was excellent too, but, for me, was not enough representating 'fire' or 'explosion'...) and to Peggy (for a very new to vue, it was a great first strike !!!)

Are you sure, Myske ? Can you really host your freestuff on renderosity's ? I was thinking that renderosity's freestuff section was only a "gate" to a hosted stuff... If this is true, can someone give me more infos on that ?...

My only thoughts about it is that, if these circles are made with terrain editor, you maybe should soften them with erode for more natural looking, and also make them smaller... Except that, it's a great looking job !

Hey, that's really cool !!! Effectively, the lizard skin texture is not perfect, but you're on the way to make a huge picture !

Yes, I think you should post a true exemple of your method, 'cause, even for people with english as native language, it's hard to understand...
Thread: Rendering tests (pic 1, 800x600 ultra) | Forum: Vue
I'll maybe go for this test with Vue4, cause, as it was said, the rendering engine of this version was re-writen... Stay tuned for more infos... :-)
Thread: Graininess problem with bump map | Forum: Vue
Hi, me again !!! I think, that for helping the discuss, we must dinstinguish two problems : - steps caused by the terain editor - graininess in the render Being confronted to both of them, I solved the first one with the trick I suggested in my previous posts, making the terrain the same size as the resolution of the picture used (as far as possible, a big resolution), and for the second one, render your picture at no less quality than broadcast. Hope it can help...
Thread: Graininess problem with bump map | Forum: Vue
Maybe my post was not clear (excuse me, I'm french...) so, I try again : If your picture is a 640x480 picture, make a terrain with no other size than 640x480. I found for myself that it solves the problem...
