Larry F ( ) posted Wed, 17 October 2001 at 11:32 PM

Pretty! Pretty! Could certainly be an alphabet/font!

Varian ( ) posted Wed, 17 October 2001 at 11:45 PM

Absolutely AWESOME!! What a gorgeous E, it looks like it's been enameled. So c'mon Claude, cough up the info now. How the heck did you make this? It's wonderful! :D

Sacred Rose ( ) posted Wed, 17 October 2001 at 11:45 PM

Very cool!!! I like it :D

Looks like this thread was brought to you by the letter E. :-) I like it

MikeJ ( ) posted Thu, 18 October 2001 at 3:38 AM

Yes, excellent! it looks like green stained glass with a brass frame. Please don't tell us you made this with Vue primitives. ;)

What a beauty...I don't know what you would do with it, but I would definately use it, maybe inside a window, really pretty. Sharen

Beautiful!!! Fonts can create some wonderful stuff....love the colouring. :) Irene

bloodsong ( ) posted Thu, 18 October 2001 at 7:33 AM

heyas; its a terrain, ainnit? hmm... awful nice edges for a terrain, there. looks very good.

Bop ( ) posted Thu, 18 October 2001 at 8:52 AM

Thanks to everyone !!! Thanks, Irene, but I must say 'no', it's not a font, but a letter that I created... Thanks wgreenlee1 and Larry F. I thought about a font, but two problems : - Some letters looks impossible to do with this drawing style, the 'C', 'G', 'J', 'S', 'X', 'Y' and 'Z'... - Do you know a good program for building fonts ? Thanks, Tradivoro, Sacred Rose, jarm and Sharen. As soon as I will be able to save the object (still use Vue4 demo...), I'll post it in the freebies, so you can use it... why not in a window ? ;-) Thanks Varian MikeJ and BloodSong. OK, I'll say you how I made this : Sorry, MikeJ, but it is primitives ! No... joke... ;-) You're right, BloodSong, it's terrains. Two terrains. But you'll never believe how I made the picture for this terrains... It was made with drawing tools from Word97 !!! InVredible, no ??? ;-)

Completely inVredible, Claude! Very, very well done! Here's a link to my font-building tech page. Follow some of the links and you'll find a bunch of font-related programs. :)

bloodsong ( ) posted Thu, 18 October 2001 at 5:31 PM

heh heh! outsmarted yas again. i gotta quit this, or people won't say how modest i am any more... ;) but how did you get the edges so smooth, bop? did you use a really high-res terrain? or image? or both??

Bop ( ) posted Thu, 18 October 2001 at 7:06 PM

Thanks Daff... Elisab... oh yes, Laurie ! ;-) Thanks, Varian, I know you were the guy !!! MikeJ, am I hurting your legendary modesty if I say that you're a genious ? For your question, Both resolutions (images and terrains)are 1000x1200. After loading picture, I click 10 times on the "erosion" button.

Varian ( ) posted Thu, 18 October 2001 at 9:40 PM

hehe...He used "MikeJ" and "genius" in the same sentence. Hehehe! ;>

bloodsong ( ) posted Fri, 19 October 2001 at 7:39 PM

heyas; no, that was 'genious,' and i'm sure that's a typo for 'goof.' ;)

LaurieA ( ) posted Fri, 19 October 2001 at 8:20 PM

Isn't genius correct? Gotta run and find my dikchunary. ;) Laurie
