So sorry to hear of your loss, Doug. You'll see that everyone is right; she'll always be with you in spirit.

Thread: What equipment bag do you use? | Forum: Photography
Thanks for all the replies and advice. I'll probably go with the Lowepro Computrekker if I can find one before we leave for Hawaii in two weeks. I'd really like to see one and wear it loaded before buying it. I have smaller bags for local trips and hikes, but for a long vacation trip, I really need something that will carry all the camera equipment and my laptop.

Thread: Runaway Apo Render | Forum: Fractals
Thanks for the suggestion, Viv. I tried joining the Apo list several times yesterday and today. I figured they would be more likely to have an answer for me, but my emails to them always bounce.
"The following addresses had delivery problems:
apophysis-subscribe@lists.fractalus.com
   Permanent Failure: Other address status
Delivery last attempted at Thu, 25 Jan 2007 05:49:21 -0000"
And I don't see any other way to contact the list and let them know there's a problem.

Ok, it looks like I stymied everyone. What I posted was part of a picture of a Sea Pen, taken at the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

The Sea Pen is a soft coral, so I think Kort came closest to guessing so Kort, tag, you're it!
I was really conflicted about how much of the original pic to post, and I think I posted too small a piece. But it sure was fun to see the interaction as people fed off each other's guesses and my replies. Here's the whole picture as I originally took it. It's through the glass of the tank, so it's not as clear as I would like, but that's just the way it is.

No, and no.
I'm at work, but I may have to post a bit more of it this evening. I did say this would be hard, you know.

Flamingo is a good guess, but that's not it, either. I don't want to give too many clues until everyone has had a chance to look at it. But I will say it's not mobile.

Barbara, you've probably been there and seen them. Of course, if you guess it, you have to post the next one.

Wow, some good guesses and a little Googling on my part paid off. :-)
I'm just getting up, and on my way to work. I'll dig through my pics tonight and see if I can come up with something diabolical.

Well, I can get pieces, but not the whole puzzle. I think it's a plaque at the R&A commemorating Old Tom Morris, who won the first Open. But 326 wasn't his score, it was the highest winning score, by JH Taylor, in 1896. And his winning margin wasn't 17 strokes, since the highest winning margin was 11 strokes.
How about 326 meters to the next green. In the US the holes are ranked in difficulty from 1 to 18, so might this be the 17th most difficult hole on the course?
