IE Version (what ever the latest is). I can access other sites that are restrictive like this. Why is ShareCG such a problem right now? And it's always dog slow no matter when I visted in the past and no matter which computer I was using.

Does anyone have a contact e-mail address for them because It won't even let me in for that. If I can't get in there than this issue is going to really keep me from a lot of free stuff from people here since it seems that everyone and their brother use that site.

Oh, yes! hborre... you are the man! I checked out ODS's pdf file on their (BIG) cape and used those settings for the Power Girl Cape and it worked. The whole 'calculate drape' options is nice. I'm assuming that if you have a person just standing around with subtle movement you use the 'calculate drape' button but if you have someone flying in the air you use the dynamics settings and use the calculate simulation?
You might think about using the grouping tool and selecting the outer bands of the cape, then assign the outer band a new material name like "Inv" for invisible. then set it's transparency setting to 1.000 and you have just shortened the cape.

I didn't even realize I was typing "conforming". I am so frustrated by this I can't see strait. No, I didn't model it. It was a freebie here at R'osity with no readme file. The other problem is that the cord seems to be the rigid anchor for the whole cape, though it does seem to bend during the process. I was thinking that the cape corners extend to far out and forward and thus the extra material falls forwards instead of downward. As far as positioning it before calculation, there is a very small window of positioning before the model ends up clipping into the figure.
BTW, good morning :) nice to see you here this early, TrekkieGrrrl. Don't you usually post in the evenings?

I was Joking Motus0, lighten up. And, just for your information, they are for making money. It's called... wait for it... "b-u-s-i-n-e-s-s". Daz Productions is not a charity, giving their models away in an attempt to save the world. It's a "p-r-o-d-u-c-t" you see, designed to... wait for it, wait for it... "m-a-k-e  m-o-n-e-y"... oooooooo... aaaaaahhhhhh. cough! gasp!
So turn that frown upside down and don't take it so seriously.
Still just kidding, don't blow a gasket!

I have this happen all of the time during animation. I solve the problem by removing the erroneous frame and that's all I can do. I have been in touch with SM since before the SR1 release and Cazky... I think was his name, was very interested in it, as well as stumped by it. It looks like the same issue that P5 and P7 had (don't know about P6, never bought it). For those who had this occur in the earlier editions of Poser, some of you remember that you didn't need to have geometry behind the camera for this issue to occur, though it was the most reported reason. This is probably the same thing and it will probably get fixed soon.Â
My problem seems to occur the most when rendering sky domes. It's easy to work around but I think that SM is working on this diligently and the above mentioned tech was rather concerned and had sent off a report to the program team that day, they just didn't have an answer before SR1. I would bet it will be fixed in SR2. Even though they are aware, send them the report of your bug anyway. It lets them know how wide spread the issue is and what similarities there are between computers experiencing the issue.
Â
And, before anyone jumps on it, this occurs whether I use the animation renderer or render to tif's.
