Quote - Ok, seriously. I don't want to delete posts. Also, please, if someone makes a political post to this thread, please don't respond to it. Get your political fix somewhere else, please. :)
So how come this post gets to stay, but my rebuttal was deleted? How was my post any more
politcal than this one?

Quote - Well there's always magnets but nowhere near as effective, or you could try dynamic cloth, that can give some nice results if you have the patience to set it up for that.
There's a guy over at Renderotica who could do wonders with dynamic cloth coming off bodies but not sure he'd give any secrets away, his name is Quoom. Be warned though, if you seek him out, his images aren't for the faint hearted!
That's the interesting thing about dynamic cloth. Sometimes it just slides off even when
you don't want it to.
Thread: Main Poser window disappears after I try to open a file | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just a thought, may or may not work. But try changing your Document Window Size.
(menu bar at the top, Window pull down, it's at the bottom under Tool Titles).
Sometimes the document window accidentally gets moved to some odd location
and you can't see it anymore. Changing the size helps locate it and then you
can grab it an move it back to the center. Then you can resize it again to the
size you want it to be. This has happened to me a few times in the past.
The reason you only see it on this particular scene is when you save a scene
it also saves the document window size and location. So even if your drivers
and preferences are good, the document window is still going to stay hidden
for that scene because it is at some odd size or location.
Thread: Your first Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
After seeing 3-D art in several websites I decided to try to find out how it was made. One
of the programs talked about was something called Poser. So I looked in Amazon.com
to see if they had it. They had something called Poser 5 and it seemed fairly cheap,
around $150, so I decided to buy it. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out
it could also do animations as well as just still images. Later on I bought Poser 6.
Skipped Poser 7 and am now using Poser Pro Basic.

Don't either. And I don't think children should have access to it either.
But then children shouldn't have access to tobacco or alcohol either.I quote you.

But it seems okay for "role models" to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol,
but it's a major crime to smoke an herb that is less dangerous than
either one of those.I dont' care which DRUG is "more" or "less" dangerous. They are all DRUGS.
Read this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_effects_of_tobacco
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Effects_of_cannabis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AlcoholismAn athlete should refuse ALL drugs.
Giorgio
Just saying if Phelps were puffing on a stogie and washing it down with a shot of bourbon,
no one would have said a word about it. Hell, half the drugs they advertise on TV, they
come right out and say these drugs can kill you, or have all sorts of horrible side effects.
Yeah, athletes shouldn't be doing drugs. But neither should anyone else. The only
differences seems to be that this guy can swim a little better than most humans
(though a dolphin would make him look sick). So somehow we are supposed to
get worked up about him doing the some stupid thing that wouldn't even make the
crime blotter if someone else were doing it because someone has decided that
athletes are supposed to be some sort of role model and live on some sort of
higher plane than the unwashed masses.

Quote - He should have told the media to bugger off and mind their own business rather than try to kiss their hind ends with a lame apology. He was going to be pilloried anyway, he could have at least held on to his dignity.
/don't smoke it myself.

But it seems okay for "role models" to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol,
but it's a major crime to smoke an herb that is less dangerous than
either one of those. Ironically smoking pot became popular when
alcohol was outlawed back in the 1920's. Then alcohol was made
legal again and pot was made illegal. Go figure.

When I see an athlete who does not refuse drugs, completely and without exceptions, I cannot stop to have doubts about his athletic results. The problem is.... are still there athletes who refuse drugs?
Once upon a time, the winner was the strongest, the fastest, the best. Now... maybe it's just the one with the best pharmacy. So sad.
Giorgio
I know Queen Victoria used to smoke pot for menstrual cramps, but I wasn't aware that
pot made someone a faster swimmer.
Thread: Displacement Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - poseworks has a free python script to change the name of nodes. I'm not sure if you have to have Shaderspider for it to work, but I do have Shaderspider.
Thanks. I'll give it a try.
edit: Yay! It's free, and it works. Thanks again.
Thread: Displacement Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sort of an off topic question, but how do I change the names of nodes in the material room.
For example I noticed that Shadow has changed the node name of Image_Map to things
like Color_Texture, Overlay_Mask, Overlay_Diffuse. How is this done?
Thread: Expressions are hard! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - The old adage says that it takes 64 muscles to frown. My problem is that it seems to take 64 careful dial spinnings for a frown... and I not even sure which they are and how much to move them! <--- this one would be a good morph
I think there-in lies the problem. A human face is a lot more flexible than a Poser figure.
A Poser face just doesn't have the the polys to bend properly enough to simulate a
human face all that realistically. Especially a very exaggerated expression. And if
you try to create a character, and then try to give it expressions, forget about it.
Thread: Poser Pro for only $36 ??? - Really ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Not saying you should buy this software. But if you are worried about someone ripping
off your credit card number on a particular purchase, what you can do is buy a Visa
gift card for that amount. It works just like a regular credit card, but is only worth
a specific amount of money. Then if someone tries to charge more to it, it won't
work because the limit has already been exceded. So if you do get ripped off,
it is only for the amount of money the card is worth. And it can't be reloaded,
so when you are done with the card, you just throw it away.
Thread: OT: Walking through a Winter Wonderland... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Global warming refers to the average temperature of the entire earth, over a period of years.
Not just one day in the wintertime in one particular place. As soon as it snows, people
forget all about how hot it was last summer. Where I live it has been in the mid 70's.
Usually at this time of the year it is in the mid 60's. So you folks in the cold are basically
donating your share of global warming to us folks where it is warmer than usual.
Thread: What is a Tetrabyte? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My first computer was an Atari 800 and it had 16K of RAM and used a cassette tape recorder
as a mass storage device. Don't remember anymore how many bytes a tape would hold.
I guess a few K.
Thread: graphics card displays and texture resolution | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Maybe they don't know any better and just like even numbers?
You could try resizing a texture to 1024x1024, 2048x2048
or 4096x4096 and time it to see if you notice any speed
improvement.

Would Replace Body Part with Prop work? (In Object menu)
Haven't tried it myself, but it's a thought.
