Steven, I'll take some of those muchies, too, please. :) Arista, how does one know if they have one of those codec thingies on their compy? In layman's terms, please -- you seem very left-brained, whereas I'm very right-brained, and not as technically savvy as I'd like. It's nice to know I have so much company at night, I'm sometimes up until 5 or 6am out here in CA. Abmlober, I agree re: the birds. Since we moved to apartments, all I hear are pigeons now, and I miss our songbirds and the bluejay and hawks, eagles and owls that called the land we lived on 'home.'

Hi Steve! My favorite generators are Vchira and Tierazon 2.7. He also makes Flarium 24, an older generator, but it's still good. They're both totally free, and you can find both of them at the creator's (Stephen Ferguson), website. Also, Fractal Explorer is a good one, and Ultra Fractal, but they're not free. As I'm posting this, I see that Steven has already posted another link I was going to give you, which is to the fractal world's most well-known archivist and good guy, Paul Lee. Good luck and have fun. :) TinaThread: Where do you post your fractals? 2D or Fractal gallery? And why? | Forum: Fractals
SAH, I wanted to tell you that I've been admiring your fractals since I've been here (only a couple of days). You have some gorgeous images in your gallery.

Eh, well, I'm new here, but I detect a longstanding issue. Nevertheless, it it my opinion that while one may LEARN while playing with the work of another person, or trying to duplicate it, one should never post it as if it were their own. That is theft and copyright infringement. And all my fracs go in the fractal gallery, post-processed or not. Just tonight I posted some fractal-based art, in the fractal gallery. Unless I use elements that are non-fractal-based, even if it's been through photoshop, which it usually is to give it the sig and to 'frame' it, it's just as much a frac as it was before, IMO. A post-processed frac, but still a frac. After all, if one can use layers in UF, how is that really different from using layers in Photoshop? It's a technicality.
