That was a bit complex! Thanks very much for explaining it so well :)

BlackKnight-san has blogged about a free A4 clothing set by Red Viper-san ( Se-Mamushi-san or Aka-Mamushi-san, I can't read contextually accurately,sorry !):
http://blackknight.way-nifty.com/poser/2010/02/de-3b39.html
You get the Aiko4 free clothing set from here:

Look at the words in the paragraph under the central entry starting with #043....
There is mention of an URL which is text-only and unclickable. Â There is also mention of a password. Â The password is the only English word in that paragraph ( excluding the words "poser Aiko3").Copy and paste the URL in your web browser to go to the download page. Use the password and click. A new page appears with clickable download link.
Phew - a bit of work to get this one !!

Looking forward so much to him being finished - thank you for all the work you're doing here :)
Thread: more Japanese freebies | Forum: Freestuff
Quote - I've been going through this thread and am amazed at the amount of poser goodies available from the Japanese that I'd never knew about. It's terrific.
One thing, though. I've noticed in a number of images some version of Chibibel that has a far more detailed and realistic face, but I can't locate any morphs or "head-swapper" package that would that makes this version available.
Does anyone here know if and where I can get this?
I think mamomamo puts TY2's head onto Chibibel. If you wanted to do the same, I believe there are some tutorials around to help, one or two over in the Daz forums or search in the forums here for head swap or just swap perhaps? You need a bit of familiarity with the cr2 to do this :)
Thread: Morphing Toss Pillow | Forum: Freestuff
Thanks very much - this is what we call a cushion here in the UK and a pillow is what you have on your bed. So I have a couple of morphing (bed) pillows but no morphing cushion at all. I've generally used non-morphing cushions and added my own morphs or used the pillows and shrunk them, but of course that makes the morphs behave a bit differently. This will be extremely useful! You can't have a sofa without cushions! Or a couch without pillows... :D

Yes, thanks for posting the link to Korin, Kerya, I never knew that was there! :)

A couple of really nice characters at Faerie Dreams, but you have to pay for them. One of them is still in the store here as well.

Oh, and I nearly forgot - one of my favourites, Kozue by Zock. She's so cute! :)

Thanks again - I shrunk it and it was just the thing for my wizard's spell storage :D
Thread: 12k/s download speed | Forum: Freestuff
I have no idea if they dl fast or slow. I haven't really used the freestuff since it changed, as most of the people whose freebies I used to like don't seem to post there any more.
I don't like having marketplace items at the top of the page where you can click on them by accident, imagining that it's a free item. If I want to buy stuff - and I do buy a lot of stuff here - then I go to the marketplace.
The point of the freestuff has always seemed to me to be to find something good and exciting that you don't have to pay for.
Everyone loves a bargain, no? And there's no better bargain than free :D I don't think I buy less at the store because I dl freebies. If anything, it means I'm in the frame of mind where I'm thinking - now I can go and buy so-and-so, because I got that other thing I needed for nothing.
Now the freestuff, as Fringewood says, seems like just an adjunct to and an advertisement for the store. It's depressing and I don't bother with it, I go surf the Japanese sites instead and look for nice freebies there. So in fact, this move has taken me further away from the Renderosity store, not encouraged me to go there!

That's gorgeous - lol, I was making one of these myself and got distracted but I don't think the textures would have been half as good as these. Thank you very much :)
Thread: Free Stuff ...its now a clickfest | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't understand how these supposed requests for an easier freebie download experience are answered by making people open another window to download the item. Surely this is just replacing opening an external link with opening an internal one?
And the advertising! If it was relevant - when I go looking for pub furniture, I'm not sure why I'm then offered the option of buying:
Hair? I suppose Vicky has to have some kind of hairstyle to go out to said pub....
Hookerwear? Fine, it's a pub in the red light district. Hey, I can use this new feature for excellent plot ideas!
Western costume. It gets better! I have a pub in the seamy side of town where they do - line-dancing!
Textures? Okaaay... no explanation for this.
Samba Rio? Where is this pub exactly?
Seriously, it's not for me. Our stuff is on ShareCG and on our own Cauldron Arts website, and I don't want to upload it to Renderosity. And I don't like having advertising shoved in my face either, it's annoying, especially when it's stuff that isn't remotely to do with what I'm looking for at the moment. The whole thing's daft, I can't imagine who would have asked for this.

Thread: Bizarre Problem...Parts of V4 Disappear? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had this problem with Mike 4. Usually the hip disappears, sometimes abdomen, on one memorable occasion his chest vanished as well.
I've found it works to open the character's cr2 - from the figures library - and edit it to replace the missing lines in the invisible body part by copying and pasting from a part. that isn't invisible. And changing the actor name of course. If you look in the cr2 you'll see what I mean - it's obvious in the list of actors that some have a couple of lines with Geom in it and some have it missing.
Of course, you shouldn't have to do any of this - and it doesn't explain what's wrong. I only get it when I use characters to which I've applied 3rd party morphs, not strictly Daz ones. Not sure if this is the reason or not, need to investigate it further :)

Excellent - thanks for the heads up!
And in the readme, it says it's okay to use for commercial renders :)
