If you are giving UF a try.... look at the coloring formulas in kcc3.ucl. You'll find a coloring called "Carlson Orbit traps". It is MBF in a bottle, complete with the most popular color ranges, that you can edit as well. Good luck!
Thread: Importing a colorgradient | Forum: Fractals
Hi Arend. Open both fractals. Then open the gradient on the "old" fractal that you want to copy. Right click on the gradient and choose "copy". Now move to the layer on the "new" fractal that you want to use this "copied" gradient. Open that gradient and right click, choose "paste". The gradient will be transferred from old fractal to new:)
Thread: Apo and UF | Forum: Fractals
I have one thought - Rykk uses the location c:/UF/..... to store his uprs. The default location for UF3 to store parameters is in your "My Documents/Ultra Fractal 3/Parameters" folder. When you browse for UPRs, that's where UF will look unless you've told it otherwise. The reason UF3 stores formulas, gradients, parameters, etc. in the My Documents folder is so that if you ever have to reinstall, your files will be preserved:)

Both images look fine to me Andreas. Have you tried clearing your browser cache to see if that fixes the problem?

And I uploaded new versions of FE 2.00 and FE 2.01 that include the missing .dll for sterling to my website, too. Marion, I don't know why your compiler isn't working correctly, you might need to download it again (if you don't have a copy on hand) and overwrite the files in your FE folder. If a DOS window appears and FE seems to do nothing, just hit the "close" button on the DOS window and see if the fractal computes. Hope this helps.

Hi Toby, If you have any older version of FE, copy and paste the file ftloo01.dll into your newer version. That should do it. I can send it to you if you want:) Panny

By all means go for FE! To complete the program, look for 3 separate downloads. One is the main FE program, one is a formula compiler, and the other is a fractal landscapes library. Unzip all 3 downloads into your main FE folder, and you're ready to go! I also highly recommend joining the FEusers mailing list (link also on the Fractal Explorer site). A wonderful group of supportive fractalists that will have you up and running in no time!
