If you are looking for WWII German soldiers checkout CoreArts.com's download section. Thip and Bryan (AKA?) have put together a fantastic soldier with several helmet styles, Officers cap, props, etc. And it's free! It's listed here in Freestuff somewhere.Thread: Comments Please | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Huolong maybe right about gaining some usage flexibility but I think that piping looks great and you couldn't get bump maps and textures to match that definition.

3DUP.com has a great Laboratory Rat. I believe it is in .3DS format. Of course you'll have to darken his fur as it is white and that doesn't sound like it would work in your scene.Thread: Low res animatic (trailer Previsualization) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Very interesting. The lip syncing is excellent. I'd love to see this when you finish your hi res version.

When I first started working with 3D graphics I was overwhelmed by all the complexities of modeling, texturing, scene setup, etc. Then I had the good fortune to meet a group of professionals working for a 3D gaming company in Atlanta. They didn't just have a modeler, a texturer, and a render artist. There was one person who did only models of scenery, buildings, etc. One who did models of people. One who did models of creatures. One talented lady who did only models of clothing - well, you get the idea. It made me feel better at the time. By the way, Phantast - I found your post hilarious.

Thanks, lynnJonathan. 3D Exploration looks interesting. Oddly enough, one trick I've found for getting .OBJ's into Bryce is to load it into Poser and export it from there. The new .obj files will then import into Bryce with some of the textures in place - usually the Color map. It just doesn't carry the Transparency or bump maps very well. Thanks again to Moebius87 and to you for making these available to the community.

Mobieus87 these are amazing. I can't wait to see the entire project. lynnJonathan, if you don't mind me asking, are you re-texturing manually or have you an utility that helps out? I've tried re-texturing in Bryce and it's been rather laborious. I've also tried Anthony Appleyard's 'getcoltx' but I've yet to get any of these files through the getcoltx successfully. I'm also looking forward to seeing your re-worked files.
Thread: Problem with Layout ReSize in Poser Pro | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm not certain what it is you are describing. If by saying the "layout screen" you mean the document window with the poser models won't resize: Look for a checkbox titled "Constrain Aspect Ratio" when you try to change the size. If it is clicked on, the ratio of width to height will remain the same - so unless your current ratio is 1:1 you won't be able to get 100:100.
Thread: deleting lights in poser4 | Forum: Poser Technical
Well, it's not a perfect solution... I took my standard light set and "turned off" all the lights by clicking off the "On" buttons in properties. I then saved this as a light set. When I want to change light sets, I click on the "Lights Off" set first, then click on the new light set. This turns all the lights off but doesn't remove them. It tends to work even when I have more lights on than I have off (if that makes any sense whatsoever). It's imperfect, but it's alot faster than selecting and deleting 20 lights at a time.
Thread: New Poser Effect - I Hate it! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
OK, thanks for all the suggestions. Here is what I've discovered thus far: a. the past threads with related issues seem to be inconclusive (some suggest the printer driver, some the monitor, some the operating system, etc.) b. turning off transparency as well as bump maps, textures, etc. doesn't change the problem once it presents itself. c. I've gone from 16 bit to 24 bit color and the problem still exists d. I've deleted all spurious printer drivers without an improvement e. deleting the prop eliminates the error but doesn't solve the problem f. I was able to export the prop as an .obj and re-import it and it solved this render g. the best work around is merely to render in the Main Window instead of in a New Window - the problem doesn't occur then Thanks again for everyone's help!

My OS is Windows 98. I'll go search the forum for 'obsolete printer driver' issues. Thanks!

Something else you may want to keep in mind: ElectricAardvark told me in an earlier post that he believed you could only get MAT files to work with Props if they were Parented Props.
