"Not, it's still 2 CPUs and Poser will run on one of them. And as the 2 cores will operate at lower frequency than the single core CPUs then, so the system with one core will still deliver faster Poser renders."
Damm, there goes another solution. Some of the things I read lead me to believe that it was the case. Oh well, back to hasseling CL to make their product work on existing hardware
It is a terrible pity that CL did not upgrade P6 to multi-processor. To be taken seriously in the pro 3D world requires this kind of power, not to mention that Poser itself would benefit from this. I had this argument with Kupa a long time ago. CL did not listen then, and have not since.

Yea but dual-core, if they work with poser will be a watershed, giving multi-processor functionality for the first time to a program that is 100% processor dependent for performance. Think about it, the hardware will finally be able to cope better with Poser demands, and it might be happening in time for CL to get the bugs out of P6 with SR2 or 3. Whatever you do check out when and what AMD are going to release before spending your cash.

If I have not got it wrong (quite possible given the state of my mind at the moment getting P6 to work ;0) ) AMD are supposed to be releasing dual-core processors later this year. Poser should work on them as they are read (as far as I understand) as a single processor. Now that will give a huge boost to Poser if it works with the program. I would keep my bucks until then. That is what I am planning to do.

I bet it still locks up and gives an out of memory message with 10 Vicky 3's and some strand hair in one scene.
Thread: Poser6 bug. James genitals bend problem. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Because the genitals are a body part they have the same translation dials of any other body-part (automatic unless they are removed or hidden from the cr2). They are not meant to be used (although you can use them - with care), the morphs are the main means of generating change. If you want greater flexibility it is a simple matter to create morphs in a 3rd party modelling app or by use of magnets.

Thread: Poser6_CL supplied UPS Tracking Number INVALID_anybody else? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yep it was DHL, and what is more from the web delivery record they tried to deliver today during the one period I was out.
Had I known it was DHL I could have contacted the delivery driver and recieved delivery, instead I was going round in circles for most of the morning with UPS before giving up. Damm!

Look up!
This was an Artist's Community, now it is an Art Community.
Better take out both words and call it what it is, a SHOP!
Business people (particularly retailers) get notions about themselves, thinking that when they run a venue for artists and the sale of art, they are somehow connected to its creation, and as a consequence, Movers and Shakers in the ART WORLD.
Ooooh the Ego and the Id ;0)
I know a lot of Gallery Art Dealers; I call those dealers Parasites. They remind me of property dealers trying to take credit for the few architectural masterpieces that come their way.
Soon they start believing that they are authorities on what they sell and art itself, and should have a say in what the world perceives and accepts as art and where its future lies.
God help us, the blind leading the wannabes.
Welcome to trying to get a small (minuscule) footnote in history.
Welcome to ignorant woolly-headed thinking trying to make a mark for itself!
Michael Angelo and his David need not apply!
The ostrich sticks its head in the sand, some humans have their heads up their *****.
This place becomes more amusing by the day ;0)

"This site is a business which is run to accomodate all not just one person" It used to be called "Renderosity Artists Community" (or something like that), then it was changed to the current "Renderosity Art Community." I have every reason to believe you are doing your job to within the best of your ability SndCastie, but I am curious, what kinda cars are Tim and Tammy driving these days?

"Prosecutors understand that pedophiles use computer-generated images of underage subjects (as well as abusive language and shame) in their attempts to groom their victims for sexual purposes, so I hope we can avoid that kind of behavior here." Are you saying that those that are asking for a little bit of objectivity as regards the TOS are activly GROOMING? After the attack on wyrmmaster's stuff below this post, it is beginning to look like a campaign. Ya got it in one JVRenderer!
