Most of the body handles I've seen have been Poser Primitives scaled way down (like the cone) so instead of modeling the handles outside of poser, I imagine they add the cones after importing. Mostly I wanted to see how they rig them with boning.

Okay... stupid question from me. If you disable windows scripting host in WinXP, is that going to cause problems for any programs that use Java? Cause I have programs I use that I cannot live without.
Thread: jester clothing for M3? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm working on a major upgrade for my "Mardi Gras Party Pack" (circa 2002!) to fit the M3/V3 characters, which includes a jester's hat and tunic. (Realish ones this time, my skills have improved, heh) I'm only about 25% done though, as there's still beads and masks to be done. Timeframe, maybe a week to finish, then Rend's testing/approval process. (It's going to be free for anyone who bought the packs in the past)
Thread: Fear of Change Pro Pak to P5 :- ( | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The material room is what makes P5 enjoyable for me. Instead of flat image files for textures, you can layer them with effects (such as the Real Skin shader). If you've ever used VUE, I find the material building similar in concept, though the interface is substantially different. I had no trouble moving from PP to P5. Multiple runtimes helps a lot with organization. Don't let it overwhelm you. Just like any other task that seems so large you have trouble figuring out where to start, it's a lot easier than you think once you actually dig in. Just do one small step at a time. If you decide to reinstall some items for their P5 content, do it one item at a time, and take the time to go into P5 and play with it for a bit before installing the next one. The ONE thing I've found impossible to deal with in P5 is Victoria3, but that's more to do with how DAZ set up all of her Pose folders with dozens of !DAZ folders instead of any kind of organization. However, that's a problem with PP as well.... it's just that it started to irk me since P5 because I know now that P5 would allow them to organize it more elegantly than how they have it.

Present! So... does this mean there were only three pages to the Inverse Kinematics tutorial?
Thread: Coming Soon... Pagan Celebrations - The Seer Divination Pack | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Thank you for your nice comments :) This is the first installment in a series of packs celebrating the long history of various pagan religions. What will be included in this pack are:
-A scrying pool
-A basic runestone with four shape morph dials to give you an infinite variety of shape options.
-26 Textures and MAT pose settings, one for each symbol in the runic alphabet. Changing two colors in the shader nodes can customize the runes, however I'm planning on some free downloads in the future with MATs for some nice variations I've come up with.
-A "storage" box for the runes, with a separate material zone for the inset on the lid, so you can customize it with your own design.
I wanted to have a character ready to go with this pack, but sadly, she's not ready yet. Rather than put off releasing the runes, I've decided to include her with something later in the series.
(Edited for silliness)

Changing my post... I just realized I totally misread the whole thing. Back to our regularily scheduled program... :)

Thread: Silly Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yep... poser files have a location path inside them... if you move a folder, or a file, you have to change the reference in the poser file or it will do that. Sometimes, such as in a MAT file, there will be several references... textures, OBJ files, etc.
The necessary changes can usually be accomplished with a text editor, like notepad. However, in the case of something like a folder of morph injectors, this is a long and tedious process. If you have Poser 5, it'd be far simpler to leave them in the expected folders, and organize via separate runtimes instead. I have a folder called "Poser Runtimes", and then within I have separate runtimes in folders for V3, M3, Aiko, Lights, etc. That helps a lot.
If you're using P4, well, you're going to have to do a lot of text editing if you want to rearrange folders. There are some utilties for correcting references, it depends on whether you want to spend money on a text-replacement tool.

I was thinking the same thing... that the thickest part of the calf muscle was too high. While I'm commenting, does anyone else think her back is bowed in too much between shoulderblade and behind? She almost looks sway-backed, to me at least.
