Irrespective of your feelings on the matter, you might heed the original posters advice. ...sounds evenhanded-handeded, although there is no mention of 'lascivious display' or recent cases that suggest that nobody has to see the offending material. I don't know how you feel about all-caps user-names, but the single-picture gallery (empty contact and info pages) and front-loading in the Rendoerosity gallery suggest this is an LEA announcing it's presence on the forum. Until HARBINGER-3D revisits the thread I would consider it a troll. And this in a world where people are being beaten and shot down in the streets.
Thread: Mac Problems! Need help... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Is the 'converter to make PC files Mac files' a drag and drop Applescript, or is it the Poser Maconverter that doozy mentioned? As for the problem with files not found, that is caused by Poser looking to a path on a different machine. MartinC (the author of Poser Maconverter) has another program called Poser Macinstaller which offers a drag-and-drop solution to this problem. Look in Free Stuff.
Thread: Cars for poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks, ScottA. That makes two votes for the Car of the [last] Century. How about the mid-60s Beetle convertible, or the sunroof sedan? Most car models have wheels that spin and turn, but not move up and down. Bounce would let you animate going over the railroad tracks, or lower it.
Thread: error -10 on Mac | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Long time with no answer. -10 is from the operating System. Try throwing away the Finder Prefs, else boot from another System and see if it happens.

I love my Canon N1220U Canoscan. 1" thick, platinum finish, power over USB so there's only one cable and at 2400dpi it's like a microscope. As for getting anything to work on WindowsME, I have no comment. On a Mac it just works. Maybe Whistler/XP will make it all better.

BlueRain: Lone Ranger's post was completely appropriate, (except that rantslating it makes my head hurt). Your specifying the forms in which you will recieve criticism is relatively bizarre. Did you think putting 'DRAEMSPINNER SKY 1' in the message title wouldn't attract attention, withor without Lone Ranger's engaging you? [No, LR, you're not engaged. =)] nfredman: thanks for the gesture toward reconciliation, and the link.

Vethril: Actually, I'm north of the border. We give thanks here evey day that the Columbia is beyond the reach of the LA Water Bureau. Anybody ever see the movie China Town? As Nicloa Tesla showed, energy blows though us like the wind. If Doerr, Bezos or Jobs invested in Dean Kamen's $1500 Stirling engine there could be good things coming out of New Hampshire. Bucky Fuller showed plans for indoor windmills (!!!) but nobody thought the all-weather maintenance was sufficient advantage. They sure wouldn't chew up birds. Innovation moves faster than corruption. Only new industries can save us. lorraine: I hear that overall demand has gone down with Internet's rise (but it's still being blamed), and the alternate source producers are getting hammered, instead of benefitting for the raid on the consumer's pocket. Seem consistent with your senario.

My point perzackly. I always wanted to do a movie called 'If the Hippies Had Won in the 60's'. My theory is that the hippies were too close to the 'leibensreform; (sp) movement that was hi-jacked by the, um, n-word volk to survive let alone achieve world domination. But--30's, 60's, 90's. You can find John Gilmore every year at the Oregon Country Faire. Let a thousand open sources bloom.

grahamjames: As far as I followed that rolling blackout story it wasn't two days in a row. Everything pretty much leaves the country through MAE East or MAE West. If the transatlantic link goes down then it goes the long way around. And, all thanks to Internet for empowering people with not much to say. =) shadownet: Everybody took it for laughing out loud--upuntilnow! Thanks a lot. Vethril: Hey, lay off the old hippies. I'm here in the Pacific Northwest in a geodesic dome with radiant heat in the quarry tile floor. Take my word when I say a wood stove is as dirty as a dog. Beemer? I've got a '58 Beetle, '61 Type II panel van, '64 Type III Notchback (admittdly close to the 1600cc BMW 2002), and I'm driving a '72 Squareback. all: Dubya's oil isn't the answer. Ballard Engineeering or Dean Kamen at DEKA show the way. THE TURN OF THE CENTURY There'll be flying boats, condo's with moats cultivated oceans, floating cities in the sky living underneath our bubbles, no more toil and troubles singing about that sweet old by and by We'll all have lots of money that we won't have to spend You'll be given everthing when everyone's your friend hanging out together, picture perfect weather this time round the party never ends We won't have no tv preachers to ask how much we gave We won't need no tv preachers, see by then we'll all be saved No more fighting for our country, no child will go hungry we'll be smiling from the cradle to the grave hallelulia I can't wait to see it, hallelulia come and go with me let me show you just how great life's going to be at the turn, turn of the century. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band hippies...

Cherokeegal: Since you're on a PC, if you put some Zip file's in the right spot to decompress them, they will filter down into the correct sub-directories (or so I hear). An easy way to get started in textures is to open an existing one and colorize or paint on it. The templates just show where everything will land on the mesh.
Thread: putting a diaper or someting on a child | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
huribead@charm.net: Well, I'm just sorry all over myself. I was trying to make an 'un-loaded' statement of fact, and I got exactly the opposite result. I'll have to think about that. "I don't undertand..." would have been more self-effacing but oversimplistic. Thanks for taking the time to express yourself. Really, nothing was intended by that. illusions said the same thing, and didn't get slammed...
Thread: putting a diaper or someting on a child | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
'when I...or...I get...or.' is an ambiguous formulation. Change figure will substitute the diaper for the intended recipient. New figure will give you both, then you would normally align and parent one to the other. However if the diaper is a conforming figure, you just conform as one step. (sorry I don't have the menus in front of me to spell them out)

Cherokeegal: Any chance you use a Mac? If so, you will appreciate Macinstall and Macconverter (by MartinC, prolly in Free Stuff) because you don't have to know, and if you want to know, just drop the whole folder onto Macinstaller and then use Find... to see where they went. ravenfeeder: Cr2's can be generated by text editor, but usually a model is saved from a 3d modelling program in a plain text format. Raw 3d meshes can be scanned from physical objects using a laser, but a Poser model has additional attributes, flexiblity for instance, added in. And once again, while the coordiates for each vertex are in the .obj, the .cr2 contains displacments from the fundamental mesh in the .obj.
