Hi Nio103! You probably exported the OBJ without first selecting your UV-map in one of your surfaces in Lightwave. The UV-map will not export to OBJ in that case.

It could be just a "low on memory error". If not, I would suggest that you connect your transparency-map to the "Specular Value"-channel.

Hi hipchick! Joseph Dennison do have a free python-script that work quite nice if you are using P5 or PP. (be sure to read the readme-file before you use the script)Thread: Poser merchants please support Poser 5 customers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I do agree with Gareee on this subject. Not about Maya and Lightwave thou, their renderers are far more faster than the Firefly, about 8-10 times (Ive tested it many times, well, not tested really, used them instead). They also do not share Poser5s problem with using your computers RAM. But why should you use a rendering engine who are about 12 years old? Why on earth would you satisfy yourself with the few material options in Poser 4/4PP? Maybe because you do not have enough RAM in your computer, thats a legitimate cause, not enough CPU is too. The latest 3d-geometry and textures do take a lot of resources, so do the rendering engine. A not legitimate cause (I think) is because you do not want to learn the few changes between P4/P5 or Its much faster with P4, then (I say), you do not really care about the result!
Thread: Need some advise on moving to the next step of 3D modeling | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just too complete what "face off" wrote. Lightwave - Complete pakage - lots of features (I do not really know what that means). If you are into modelling for Poser (it handles OBJ-files, UV:s and groups very nicely), not much competition here. If it's animating you're into I would really suggest Maya. Softimage - Complete pakage - lots of features (I do not really know what that means).Kind of somewhere in the middle between Maya and Lightwave.

Well, then I must have been wrong. I guess it would have been in the "Product showcase" forum in that case. I will deleted my previous post, my apologies. :-)

Thread: Has anyone done a thorough tutorial on the Hair Room? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That is a great tutorial to start with. English is not my language, otherwise I myself would write a tutorial on this topic. All a can say is; take a look at the "Hair Style Tool", especially "Move" and "Falloff".

This sounds fun, I'll be on it right away. One question. I'm using Poser/Lightwave/Photoshop, is that alright?
