The skin shader is amazing.. stunning. I gave no clue about making shaders, so I just copied from original LF and changed the maps.
Are you planning to sell the shader? ๐

I wished for something easy to use HRDI and you gave us this tool! ๐ Thank you very much ๐
Maybe I have a wish for a script I also would love .... a script for making glitter in Superfly and maybe Firefly. ๐ In Poser 7 I had such a neautiful script for making lips glittery and also shiny. Since P11 didn't support this script anymore, I started P7 and just copied the material, is works very good for P11 and up if I use Firefly.... but didn't work in Superfly.
I was searching for a solution for Superfly Glitter but if I'm honest, it's OK but not that glittery I wanted it.
Maybe there is a way to make a script? ๐

On the PhysicalSurface root you'll see a scatter group value at the bottom. Change the mouth interior material scatter group to a different number. So if the Face material has a scatter group as 1 change the mouth interior material to scatter group 2.ย
If you are using the EZSkin derived Scatter/Blinn mats from La Femme, you'll see a scatter node amongst the various connected nodes of the set up. Open the scatter node in the mouth interior material and likewise change the scatter group number to a different value than that utilized by the face material. So if the face is scatter group 1, change the mouth interior to group 2.
Note also that Ben figure has a teeth material group, though the relevance is open to testing.
The blue you are seeing is actually a form of occlusion. In theory similar to ambient occlusion. A shading artifact brought about by the proximity of mesh surfaces. I've found that sometimes the scatter groups only serve to lessen the occlusion artifacts, rather that fully eliminate it. I've also noticed that varying lighting conditions lessen or increase the occlusion effect, or at least that's how it seems. In particular with HDR lighting, one image producing much pronounced artifacts as opposed to another producing much less. All else fails you can try raising the scatter scale value also.... in the Poser surface scatter node formula it appears that the artifact begins to be much pronounced at scale values 1.5 and lower.
Thank you very much :) I am sorry I had some projects but now I found the time to have a look at Bens mouth.
You were right, changing the scatter group was the solution. The blue is less blue now. Thank you very much :)

I am sorry for my late reply, had some appointments this week. I did not try with glitter, but I tried with the light and it is really cool... but I find it difficult to wait until render to see how it looks XD

Thank you very much for this, I will test the Glitter with your light-settings. :)
Today and tomorrow I have no chance to open Poser, so I will test in on the weekend or monday :D
The 4th image you posted is very nice :)

ok ... I think I found a solution.. this was faster than I thought. The solution for a sheer glitter trough fabrics I could use a 2nd layer for material.. in this example I used the glitter above and just added a 2nd layer with a simple color and a 0,5 transparency with fall off ... I like it :D I think I can work with this.
left: bachground light
right: Superfly Paramount

I am trying... but I do not get any result like yours .. hm ... I have a really nice glitter with the Superfly Lights included in Poser 13... if I use the lightning from background, it will look flat like Rhia474 said.
I left the size of the flakes, I actually like them and they are nice with metallic :D
left: only light trough background
right: only superfly light "Paramount"
I think for a solid glitter I found a good solution for me ... now I am thinking about a sheer glitter for clothing like in Fabianas "Essentials Vol 3 Sheers"

Oh wow thank you for your advice. I will try after work today ๐
And yes I was using the Poser starting light while I was testing the settings ๐

Ok I tried again... with a Cycles Surface, I think you are right and maybe it is better for Superfly.
I found another tutorial for a Glitter in Blender ... I tried and I think I got something for Glitter now.
I wanted a multicolor glitter but color ramp did not came out as I wished XD ...
Tutorial: https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/99251/cycles-material-a-kind-of-glitter
actually I try to get how to mix more than 2 colors... I am really not this good in understanding Posers material room.. even if I set to my language (german) some words make no sense to me.
My 2nd try to make more than 1 glittercolor.. well ... this catched me XD I like it :D

ok, here I am ... I renderes wdirectly (left) and with Render Knight (right) both settings were the same.
Even if it does not glitter .. I like the outcome and I think this is the solution for my latest problem :)
Do you have a suggestion how to make glitter for Superfly too? I tried a tutorial for blender but failed and landed accidantly on the material I posted now.
I am looking for a glitter like in this older item.. Firefly works fine, but Superfly will not render the particles. (this material was my starting point to modify before I landed on this material :D )

Thank you very much for your help. I think I got what you wanted to explain. Because Superfly renders "real" raytracing, the false weave reflection is making some other results. you are totally right about gamma setting, the checkmark is on settings and not on the other one where I can set 1.
I have to work now, but I started to tinker a new material. actually I wanted to make a glitter material based on a blender tutorial but it didn't came out as I wished.. inadvertently I made a discovery with this cycles shader and it looked nearly like the iridescent material I was looking for ๐ So I will post it after work, to show you the result. It renders in all variations of superfly..ย
So I don't have glitter yet... but now I have a good iridescent base ๐

Thank you :) I thought it would be the answer XD I will try to make a new arrangement. :)

Oh... you mean the inside of his mouth shine trough the outside? So I should try not to use SSS on the inside?

Hm..ย Ben doesn't have any material-zones between lips and face... it is only a face.ย Maybe I need to repaint on the texture map directly ๐ค or work with a 2nd layer only for this part of the face. ..... oh wow.... even more to learn ๐ ย
I think it is because of some light blue veins, similar on the eye lids, they are also a bit blue.
Yes, I made the materials to apply on all figures... I don't think I will work with the other older figures but Ben. ๐ It is really impressive to see how good they can look, even if they are this old. Ben was in Poser 7.ย

Thank you very very much :) I will try yours, thank you so so much :) They look very similar.. I am impressed.
Meanwhile I got it trough copy and paste. I copied La Femme shaders and aplied the maps for Ben. I think it is good to work with. They render similar to yours :D
I also aplied 2 options to use V3 Eyes or La Femme Eyes :) .. I think he could be La Femmes son now XD
First I thought I can not copy because seams shined through his whole body.. but I found a PDF in the Freebies where I could read I can switch to "Poser Unimesh" and the seams disappeared. :)
both SSS Shader ( I have no clue why his mouth is blue, but I think it is because of the map)
