Thread: Are CL and DAZ currently similar to Apple and MS? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I can see the CL/Daz & Poser/Studio connections getting very interesting in the near future. With Daz Studio still in the formation stages, and CL announcing the pending release of version 6...the merry-go-round has already started up. Curious Labs has already taken the first steps in character creation in version 5, and with the addition of the modelling program Shade[?]to their arsenal they will definately push this development further in the near future. Daz Studio does have some native format and unique content filing capabilities, but is still going to be backward compatible to Poser in most aeas...something that I believe will also change in future releases of D|S. My guess is that by the 3rd Service release of Poser 6, and Daz Studio verion 2...they will be two entirely different programs with few cross-over capabilities. I further predict that Poser 4 is going to eventually become the Golden Classic of figure posing software; at least it will be on my computer.
Thread: Furrette 2.0 Preview Pics | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for answering my plea for more of Furette, Little Dragon. Now I have more people lined up to 'bug' you for release of this cutie...LOL! I didn't realize how many advance improvements she was to have over version 1.

Thanks for the info on Furette. Yes, more preview pics would be nice...and I will try to wait patiently and not bug you about her anymore. [Not anymore than usual, that is!!]

This is great! I think this is the first rendering I have seen of Britt...and you have convinced me to get her loaded in for some pictures.

In the comparison department, let us not forget that MicroBill Gate$ played an very big part in Mac/Apple at it's startup...then went on to form Microsoft and stated 'breaking' Windows. Not only that, but if memory serves me right MS helped bail Mac out of a financial disaster a few years back. Facts which I don't see happening between Daz and CuriousLabs..LOL.
Thread: Monica - Supermodel Pinup for P5 Judy | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
OT- I don't have, nor do I intend on getting Poser 5 but one thing I did not realize about Poser5 until recently is the fact that Posette and Dork [P4 Nude Female and Male] are included with the program. I think a lot of new users to Poser 5 who have never used Poser 4 are missing a lot of excitement by not working with these characters.
On Topic, this is a very nice looking texture...and is much needed to spice up Judy a bit.

This is Off Topic to your request, but I would like to direct you in the direction of Project Blue Cell site at http://www.projectbluecell.com/index2.html This is an excellent site which is fairy new and was created basically to support graphics art students in their quest for info on graphic arts...great forums for asking questions, info on various programs, a gallery, etc. [Also a very good site for art instructors to get info and to share their knowledge with students as well as others!]

And don't forget the primitives in Poser itself...very good for some simple prop building. Talking Poser 4 here, I know nothing about P5. Check out Dr. Geep's tutorials on making props using Poser.

Tiny...thank you. I had lost my bookmark for george279's site and have beat my brains forever trying to remember where those great props were.
Thread: Annoying AD-V2 problem, a book question, and maybe a co-op pic? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As always...Yes, do avoid the Mortier book!! I might be worth 1/10th the outrageous price it costs, but even that is doubtful. I don't have the name off the top of my head but have heard there is a book slanted for Poser Pro Pack that is a pretty good one, and covers things that work as well with Poser 4. Hope this jogs some response for you from someone who knows the one I mean!
