I had the exact same thing happen last week and it took me days to work out the problem then days more to fix it. It seems I had a trojan (I have Mozilla Firefox 1.04)and I had trouble getting PCCillin to pick it up. Even with the latest updates. I ran Ad-Aware SE Personal and it deleted the extras the trojan left but I had trouble deleting the trojan itself. It had embedded itself in the browser cache of both IE and Firefox so I emptied the cache of both, reinstalled Firefox and any images that wouldn't load, I hunted for the cached page and used that. It fixed it. And I know nothing about technical stuff so I surprised myself that I'd actually managed to fix it. It works fine now. Some of my gallery images weren't loading which triggered the hunt for the problem. Don't know if this solution will help anyone else but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Thread: Problem with my images | Forum: Community Center
Hi Stacey, thanks for replying but it seems it's coming from my end. The images are viewed fine from several other peoples computers so I did some investigating. I'd had a trojan which played havoc with my browser and my virus checker deleted the trojan so I re-installed the browser. It seems to work fine for now so I'll just see how it goes. I do appreciate your reply though, thank you. :o)
Thread: Fractal Window Weekly! - May 01-07 | Forum: Fractals
I've been a little busy with my son's wedding coming up on Saturday so I've only just had a chance to take a look at this weeks fractal weekly window. Absolutely stunning images and Barbara, I'm glad to see more Apo stuff in there ;o).. Thanks to all those really talented artists for creating something that I love looking at each week. I figure one day if I keep trying hard enough I might just make it in there myself.

Wow, there were some amazing entries this month. Congratulations to all the winners,Lagardo, twiggypeasticks and chaoscid, you all did incredible fractals. Your win was well deserved. I had lots of fun with the tweak fest and look forward to the next one.

Congratulations Rykk, a very well deserved win. I loved going through all the nominated artists galleries and the talent made it so difficult to choose.
Thread: Post work | Forum: Fractals
Can we compromise and call this art "Creative Fractalling". This covers a host of ideas (regardless of any 'postwork')and it has a certain ring to it don't you think? ;o)

Congrats Barbara. It's a well deserved "promotion"... you've been endlessly patient and helpful with me since I first started fractalling ... so personally, I think it's wonderful and it couldn't have happened to a more deserving person. :o)

Hi Nick, glad to see we have another one up and running. Just a quick question. It's not mentioned in the rules so I thought I'd better ask in here. Are we allowed to change the density of the fractal?..
Thread: March Fractal Themed Challenge...Winners posted! | Forum: Fractals

Thanks Nick :o) wasn't meaning to sound picky. Just thought that I'd missed it and was berating myself. I've been in a perpetual fog as of late so I just added it to the list of things that I've missed due to "Old Timers Disease". Thank you for letting me know I haven't lost the plot just yet. Will look forward to the next one then. Oh and if you manage to get yourself organised, let me know how you accomplished that...I'd love to know how for myself. lol.
Thread: Interesting Use of Fractals | Forum: Fractals
Hi CoolBreezeLady. I just highlighted the cafepress one and copy and pasted the link into the browser and it worked fine for me. I've just tried it now and it went straight to the site and I'm using Mozilla Firefox 1.0. I also checked it out in IE6.0 and it linked fine. Perhaps your settings are a bit out or something. Sorry you can't see it for yourself. It's a very good site. :O) As I said in a previous post above, the other site, the first one with the lights, seems to have been removed so I found this one to replace it, which I also thought I'd share.

It seems that site is down so I found another possibility. I think this one has promise, although it's not as pretty as the lights, I was amazed at what this store offers. Sorry to those who didn't get to see the lights though. They were great.

Let's hope this one stays for a while.

Wasn't there a copyright Q&A not too long ago here on 'Rosity? Maybe if that was available (archived maybe?) it would help decide the issue of copyright in this instance? Just a thought.
Thread: Introducing the Fractal Window Weekly! | Forum: Fractals
It's now the early hours of Saturday morning in Sydney, Australia so where ever it's Friday, enjoy!..Not being able to sleep, I logged on to Renderosity and found this forum topic. After having browsed through the amazing images of the Fractal Window Weekly, I have to congratulate both Nick and Barbara first, for a wonderful idea and simpler alternative to the Hot20 and also for the selection itself. They are just stunning images and I'm planning on attempting some better things, hoping I can get into this. I really like this idea. I think that not knowing the criteria for selection, makes you try that little bit harder, so I'm off to get some fractalling in. Have a wonderful weekend people. Hope to see more of the Window Weekly. :o)
