Subject: Wacom tablet

Hello everyone. I'v purchased a Wacom Graphire 3 tablet in the last few days and only just started to learn how to use it properly. Does anyone know of any tutorials using the Wacom and maybe the included software (Ulead Photo Express and Photo Explorer & Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0) apart from the Wacom site? Does 'Rosity have any tutorials, not just free ones, that any of you would recommend?.. I'm having lots of fun with it and can see a big difference trying to do simple things like drawing hair on Poser figures. Also if any of you have your own tutorials or know how to get the most out of a tablet, by all means let me know.Any help to get me started would be very much appreciated.

I have a tablet also. It's a little like learning to ride a bike again. The hand to eye coordination is...different, mostly because you aren't watching your hand "write" for the first time in your life. Your manual will show you some exercises you can go through, if not check the other wacom pdf manuals; http://www.wacom.com/productsupport/manuals.cfm Also; " Tutorial: How to Paint Realistic Hair - Linda Bergkvist shows step by step how to digitally paint realistic hair"; http://features.cgsociety.org/story.php?story_id=3174 AgentSmith

Thank you so much Agent Smith. Linda Bergkvist's tutorial is an amazingly easy and very helpful tutorial (even simple enough for me)... I appreciate you taking the time to answer. I think I'm going to really enjoy getting the most out of my Wacom now. :o)

It can be strange learning to ride a tablet, but afterwards, you won't ewant to draw any other way! AS

If it's any comfort, it took orthopedic surgeons quite a while to learn hand-monitor coordination when they started doing arthroscopic surgery. As the late V.I. Ulyanov said on his deathbed, "Comrade(s),persevere!"
