Hi Acadia,
As far as using the paint bucket tool to fill an area, try increasing your tolerance. Depending on the size you might still have to click more than once.
For pasting after you copy or cut the part of the image you want, go to file -> new. A new file will be created to the size of your cut/copy and at the same resolution you cut/copied from, after the new file is created just go to edit -> paste and there you go.
Hope this helps.

Add a vector mask to the layer you want to fade out. Swicth to default color(black&White). select the gradient fill tool and have it to foreground to background. Click in the vector mask box in the Layers Pallete, then click and drag from right to left in the active picture window. Hope this helps.

Thread: Unable to load purchased plants | Forum: Vue
I just had the same problem. If you bought the plants/objects when you only had Vue 5 then they are locked into Vue5. In order to get them to work for Vue 5 INF you will have to contact the support at Cornucopia and have them reset all your down loads so it will work in Vue5 INF. Once they due this the downloads will not work in Vue5, so make sure you have a local copy of them in case you want to use them in Vue5. For now whenever you purchase something from Cornucopia make sure Vue 5 INF is selected at the top of the check out page. The techs inform me they are trying to correct this, but that's the work around for now. Hope this helps:)

I bought an earlier version of this book when I was first learning to use PS. If you want to learn how to accomplish different effects you can apply a style and then reverse engineer it to figure out how it's done. If you already know how to do things then I would not recommend this book for you.

I got the memory becasue I was getting frustrated with Bryce, Vue, and Hexagon freezing up or just refreshing way too slow on me when I had a lot of objects in the scene. :cursing: Now if it could only help me make some decent pictures it will truly be worth the price

Dreamer, the available memory is showing 1769MB and with the max used by Photoshop slider at 100% it is at 1769MB. I think, but I'm not sure, that since it running under a 32 bit emulation it's still limited to recognizing the Max of 2GB per application use. Minus what ever the system is using. I do beleive that Microsofts next OS(Vista) is supposed to eliminate that 2GB max per app barrier.

Windows sees my 4GB of mem, but PS7 only sees just under 2GB. I have all the latest drivers and BIOS. But as long as PS7 is working I'm not really worried about it, because on my old system it saw the same amount of RAM too and I didn't have any problems with it then. When I get CS2 maybe it won't have this same restriction. Maybe.

I don't have a specific list, just read in various forums people couldn't get their plugins to work in CS2. I've finished loading all my plugins and ran PS7 through some tests and everything is working fine, except that it only regonizes just under two Gigs of the four Gigs of memory I have installed, but that's fine. Thanks for all the info and enjoy the rest of the weekend:

Thanks everyone for the info, but I finally got it installed and it seems to be running fine. I will have to do more tests in tomorrow. Install third party plugins and open large file and run through all the filters. It's gonna be a long day.
Nattarious, I bought the OS separately from Newegg.com. I'm going to purchase CS2 in a few months, but didn't want to give up 7 because I've heard people not being able to run all the third party plugins they had for 7 in CS2. Hopefully I won't have all these problems with CS2.
I got it to install by booting up in safe mode and installing from there, the load sequence didn't stop or lock up at all. After that I just restarted as normal. One thing to add is that one of my techie guys at work had advised me to buy AMD over Intel because AMD could run 32-bit apps natively as they didn't rmove the coding from their 64bit chips like Intel did. Whether this is true or not I have no idea. My gig now is:
AMD 64FX55
ASUS A8n-SLI
EVGA 7800 gt 256MB
4GB PC3200 RAM
2 WD120GB HD
2 WD320GB HD
Pioneer DVD Burner
If I run into any problems I'll post it back here. Good night:)

It doesn't say it will run on XP 64. I have tried running it in compatibility mode to no evail. If it doesn't run it'll be O.K. I was just hoping to be able to use it on my new pute. Looks like I'll have to build another and install XP pro on that one.
