@Gerald: I am very glad to hear you will try to do tutorials in english, there is still much I do not understand about VWD so more tutorials is certainly better. I did not hear from my friend if he is interested in helping with the translation/subtitles, I emailed him again to ask if he has any interest but there has been no reply :( I think he may be too busy with his job, even to read his mail...

I do not understand "double size lighting", do you mean double-sided lighting? Or that the object can be given double-sided polygons while inside VWD which makes it possible to see the object from both the outside and inside?

For the second video, "Hair rigidification.mp4" I find no serious problems with the english, it is easy to understand. The only part that may be confusing is when it is mentioned "tie the hair" which I am not sure what it means, perhaps to link the hair together? The verb "tie" is not clear in its meaning.
Both videos are definitely helpful, I also appreciate seeing the difference with by extension and by neighbourhood on the hair simulation (although I still do not understand what is the exact difference between the two methods, but I know that is explained in another video you made which has not yet been given subtitles).

I watched "La sombra.mp4" and it was possible now to understand the tutorial, although some of the english is a bit strange, for example "The display of the hair is disgracious." which in english I think would sound like "Right now, the hair does not look appealing." (due to the "interpenetrations", but I believe a more common way to refer to them is as "pokethroughs").
[edit: actually I am not entirely correct, since the hair penetrates into the body of V4, it's more accurate to say "penetrations" than pokethroughs]
I do have one big concern: whenever numerical values are being entered into the edit box in VWD, it is hard to see since the screen is high resolution and the text size is very small. I know there are some video recording tools which will let you temporarily zoom into a region of the screen when values are being typed in. This makes it easier to see what is being typed into the boxes so users do not have to squint.

I watched the first draft video this morning, I didn't understand the french but wow it was a very good demonstration, I like the ending where the pearls are dynamically arranged in real-time (was thinking how VWD would make a nice tool to assist in modelling certain items).
I wish to make one observation: the video size is 100mb, but I see that the video does not contain much movement or delta change. So it should be possible to create a much smaller, compressed video that does not take up as much size without losing quality. I just wish to point this out because not every user around the world will have unlimited bandwidth on their internet account (for example, until recently I could only use 25gb per month) so it would be convenient if the video sizes were somewhat smaller to download/view.

and you can increase the Nb_Iterations value if your cloth deforms too much. You can also use a scale function at 95% on all the cloth or only on a part of the cloth to avoid a too large deformation at the beginning.
Thank you Gerald, I think the comparison with the Cloth Room explanation has cleared up some questions I had... I was wondering about how the Decoration would work in VWD, and didn't know if Choreographed was even supported. Also important that this is the first time I come closer to understanding what Nb_iterations does if the value is changed. The explanation in the manual was not very helpful:
The « Nb Iterations » value defines the number of times the simulation is run for each calculation cycle. The value of 2 appears correct in almost all cases. If a simulation does not seem to be solved by changing other parameters, increasing this value may solve the problem.
It did not explain what happens if I increase Nb_iterations or decrease its value, so I hope you can update the manual (or even better, include a video that demonstrates how changing Nb_iterations will affect the simulation result).

To correct a part of a cloth, I've found a solution which can help : You can select the one or several vertices by using the Shift key, then you extend this selection to the vertices you want to modify, you inverse this selection and then you apply a wind in the correct direction and strength to make the deformation you want to have.
I do not entirely understand, but this sounds interesting. Is it possible you could make a video tutorial to demonstrate this solution?

@VirtualWorldDynamics: for the RIP file, it can still be located where it is located today, but perhaps the data inside can then also be saved to the current project folder upon exit from the VWD tool? When user is closing the VWD window, right now I think there is a dialog box that asks "Are you sure you wish to exit?" It can also ask user if they wish to save out their RIP information to the current project folder (default obviously is the same name as the project but user can change it if they wish).

@VirtualWorldDynamics: also, I realize that there is another important improvement to make to the VWD tool. Currently, the settings for all the clothing and collision that we use in VWD are saved to the exchange folder. I feel as if this is convenient for the software, but it is not convenient for the user. When I save my Poser project, I wish to have all of the files related to the project in a unified place on my hard drive (other than the 3d assets such as geometry and textures, obviously these must stay in a common folder since they are often used in multiple projects).
When I use the Cloth Room, the *.dyn file is saved to the same folder as the PZ3/PZZ file. This makes it easy to remember to include when I am backing up my files or I have to take my Poser project to another computer. With VWD, I must remember to go into "RuntimePythonposerScriptsVWDRecorded Imports" and look for which files I am using in my project (and there can be multiple versions of the same clothing, with different dates, so this can become very confusing). Then if I am later restoring the backup or running the project on another PC, I must restore those RIP files to that same folder on the other computer...
Everything would be much much easier if the RIP files could be stored in the same folder as the PZ3, and also under one filename maybe the same name as the project. That way, if there are multiple clothing items in the project being simulated, we do not have several RIP files to deal with, just one RIP file that encapsulates all of the items being simulated in that project. Basically, I feel as if the VWD tool should save the settings out in a similar way to how the cloth room does it, to improve the workflow and make it easier to backup projects. I hope that makes sense.

@VirtualWorldDynamics: I think this thread is a great idea. I will download the first video in a few days when I have more space on my hard drive (since I believe this one is 100mb).
I would like to propose a video tutorial for existing Cloth Room users so that they understand how VWD can do the same tasks as the old Cloth Room. For example, I am still confused about the best way to recreate cloth room functions such as Decorations for both soft and rigid e.g. buttons. I assume that I would make a button as a very rigid cloth item but somehow this does not feel like the optimal way to do it since there is no need for the button to be simulated (since its shape does not deform).
I assume that "Nail to Collision" is equal to the Cloth Room's "Constrained" function, but it would be nice to have Gerald confirm this. I am not sure if "Choreographed" exists in VWD... or at least maybe I am confused enough that it does and I do not see it.
Anyway, the Cloth Room has existed for a very long time and probably has many users who are familiar with how it works (even if it does not always work satisfactorily). It would be a good and fast way to help potential VWD customers (and new users) to grasp VWD in familiar terms, if there was a video that teaches them how to recreate the Cloth Room functionality. Then later, another video that shows them how the tool can do more than the Cloth Room.

@VirtualWorldDynamics: would it be possible to also have a sphere that repels instead of attracts? Or maybe it is the same tool but it has an editbox where the user can set the magnitude of attraction (a negative value would cause the sphere to repel). I am thinking that maybe a repel sphere could be used to help smooth out folds by flattening them as they are repelled from the sphere.
