I tottaly agree with promiselamb.. That is the best way to save a real optimized high quality with less sized pics or work.. And i just posted that on someone's else thread few mins ago step by step :) And answering the question from 3DGuy: It won't be that optimized as the Photoshop or other similar program like Corel SAVE FOR WEB.. Hello george_c... Here what you have to do.. No matter what your posts are, i mean graphics or photography.. the best way to save your pic.. Don't use the GIF format.. first it will reduce your colours from 32Bit to 256K MAX!!! and that means you will loose alot of your details and it will be so crappy.. So lets start fist with the post.. Well the size as the rules or the Rosity site mentioned are right.. When you finish your work or art (POSTWORK) don't use the: *SAVE or SAVE AS from your Adobe Phoshop 7 File Menu.. But... From the same menu... Little down you will see: *SAVE FOR WEB... option.. Make sure that you choose that one and do the following: 1- I use CS2 if i remember right in v.7 it will be on the riight side.. Choose the file format.. I think the default is GIF and set it to JEPG. 2- Put your quialty on the MAXIMUM and look down on the left (ON THE STATUS BAR) from the SAVE AS WEB.. opoed up window.. You will see the Size of your pic after choosine the quality.. 3- If the size if > then the mentioned also in the same menu on the right it should shot 100% on the maximum settings.. reduce it abit.. and look again down and see the differece.. 4- I Prefere to save your work at (HIGH) and that should change the compression from 100 to 60 now do 70 and save it any where you want! The surprise is: It is special method of saving a very highly optimized web pics with special compressions methods. and it won't loose quality!! even tho you chose MEDIUM or LOW!!! Now about the THUMBNAILS.. do this Your post either vertical or horizontal right! 1- If it horizontal then leave the Constrain Proportions option checked as you show on your first post.. and set the width to 200 then automaticaly it will change the hight ofcourse to the auto settings.. 2- If it vertical then the hight should be 200 and the width will change to the right settings.. 3- Goto the filter menu and sharpen and sharpen one time, becasue when you change the resolution to that small size it won't be that clear.. Oh well you will see the differece.. 4- To save your thumb again use: SAVE FOR WEB.... and choose the midum and make sure it is again JPEG and less then 15Kb on the status bar.. if it is too way below the 15Kb then you can choose the high and see.. That is all.. Save it and you are done.. Your posts will be optimized, fast loading, Sharp and clear.. NOTE: Don't use the SAVE FOR WEB option on your original files.. You won't be able to get the original quality ever.. So make sure that you working on a copy that you will post or will do anyting with it but not the original.. So now i can tell you. I would manipulate the right side of it.. that little tree.. and clone that stand or i don't know what you guys call it behinde that lovely palm.. Hello Radlafx... First of all.. i can tell you congratulations for the new plan and the 30D.. you made the right choice.. Now.. tell me how much you want to spend or your budget so i can advice you.. Becasue there are many different lens/zoom lens and such.. and please i want you to mention if you want the original CANON EF or the CANON EF-S Series original lens or something like Tamron or Sigma! they still japanese made 100% made in japan and working very good tho.. Hello LostPatrol, I will try to find you the issue from the canon website.. I am pretty sure they are there.. If you will compare them together it should be mentioned some where there.. I have most of the of the Canon series if you can take a look at my page and used equipments & lenses.. I had a problem with a 20D and that is why i went for the higher one 20D-a usually the shutter locks on you.. and that is not in all of them tho.. It is an issue with some of them.. I think a problem with the Factory Line tho.. And also i noticed that if you use the clean the sensor option sometimes it locks as well.. Anyways, I will look for that thread and pass it here. :) Much Resepct JOE

Hello TwoPynts, In fact i just added this new EOS 30D to my equipments two days ago.. And it is a real cool camera with the little options they added.. But they fixed the Sensor issues that came out on the 20D.. That is the most important part.. Hhehe.. And it is about 4 to 5 JEPG more in the continous frames shooting.. Love the bigger LCD it really helped alot tho :) Thanks for the post.. And i really do advice the pro photographer to go with the new 30D.. specially if it is the same price exactly as the 20D JOE

Hello Croxie.. Replying to your issue.. that is a factory issue in most of the Nikon Products.. that issue's been fixed in the Digital SLR cameras.. And even tho D50 & D70 had the same issue sometimes.. But now it is fixed with the more expensive ones Like the DX series.. And also that is why they released the Canon 20D-a and the new 30D instead of the regular Digital SLR 20D.. It is a sensor and proccessor issue.. And the best way to send it to the factory if you are still under their warranty.. Other wise it needs some new firmware to solve it.. and it can be only done either by an authorized dealer of Nikon.. or the Factory!! Other then that i really can't help.. Becasue it is a hardware & software issue at the same time (eEPROM-FIRMWARE).. And i will never go for Nikon no matter how they are good or famous :sneaky:.. Check my webpage at Rosity to see what kinda equipments i use.. And also at the same time.. If you will become 100% sure of what i did just mentioned.. And you don't have a warranty on your product.. Hello my firned.. i can tell that adobe photoshop cs2 is totally differnt then 7.0 and cs1 eh! oh well.. looks like to me that you duplicated the layer and the you did sit the top one either to multiply and or overlay.. if the original is the original as i can see.. that means what i mentioned above.. try it again and tell me.. oh! i can see that you added after that some sharpen to the image.. So here is my suggestion.. 1- Open the original nuder your CS2 2- Click Ctrl + J to Duplicate the layer 3- Choose the top layer from your layer window on the right 4- Set the layer option in the same window to MULTIPLY If not.. Then trey the OVERLAY. 5- Goto Filter and add some sharpen image onece.. 6- I guess you know how to make that simple frame eh! And you are all done unless you played with the levels as well.. You can find that under the image menu > Adjustments Hope that i did help you enough.. and i think it is exactly what you did.. Waiting for your reply.. Thanks and respect.. JOE
