This cat is just the basic cat - as I said before he has been around since at least Poser 3. I think actually someone a long time ago made some morphs for him that changed him into about 9 different animals, but I can't remember who or when... Perhaps some of the longer serving members can remember think the package was called 9 lives and it was free.

XENOPHONZ I would hate to be your neighbour if their cat looked like that, complete with square legs and a seam on his chest..... Really it should be a crime to have content like this in a program that is shaping up to be so great!

I also read through the other thread on this and still not sure what all the drama is about.
If it's over using the word Poser in a site, surely that can be fixed by either adding the (R) beside the word Poser (see below) in your title - I know that won't work for domain names but you could add a phrase such as this to the main page...
Poser is a Registered
Trademark of Curious Labs an
e frontier Company
I just did that to my "Elysium Poser Playground" - just in case!

Thread: Is the Hair in Poser 6 any more usable than in Poser 5? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"Not sure if they meant them to show through, in order to "fill out" the sparse hair somewhat, or if they made a mistake in scaling or transparency, but it's ugly in closeup." Think you have hit the nail on the head Randym, thats exactly what I was trying to get across, I'm really dissapointed with this batch of hair. Wasn't all the hair in P% 3rd party though? - I'm just wondering if that is why the P6 hair doesn't compare....

Thread: Is the Hair in Poser 6 any more usable than in Poser 5? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I honestly don't think the supplied dynamic hair is as good in Poser 6 as it was in Poser 5. At least the Poser 5 hair came in and fitted OK - with all the P6 hair I have had to play around to get it to fit and then there seems to be bald ptches here and there, so I'm back to using my P5 dynamic hair. The only real problem I had with Poser 5 hair was the collisions, but I have since found out that is a problem with the number of polygons in the skull cap.....

I use ACDSee and find that the default settings used when you "save as" jpeg actually are about spot on for uploading to the web. It seems to have a good compression ration without losing much from the image.

Thread: morphing mattress | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I just moved my waterbed with morphing bladder over from my Elysium Site to
Posin' Down Under .
I had to remove all my free stuff from the Renderosity Free Stuff pages after my last site move as Renderosity updated
them all as NEW DOWNLOADS and I had 18 gig of traffic in 3 days......even though some of the stuff was 4 years old.
Only problem with that link is you will have to become a free member to download...

Thread: V4 Dreamlist | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nah- let's get more realism....
Teeth that you have to take V4 to the dentist for a checkup once a year.
Finger and toenails that need clipping.
Build the Gen 4 models with their own hair that you can style and you need to send them to hairdressers to get it trimmed.
Body hair - so as Victoria has to shave under her arms and her legs.
Seriously though - some new form of morph setup to get rid of those damn "!"Folders - I would really hate to still be using Poser 4 with no sub folders....
And face room support.

Thread: To SSS or not to SSS? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Momodot - I agree that it adds more depth, it's just that red that it adds, I will experiment more with changing the colour of the node and see if one still gets that depth feel to the skin....

Thread: To SSS or not to SSS? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes the right is the SSS - I'm not happy about the tone with SSS seems to have given the skin a reddish tone although the skin looks more natural the tone just isn't "real".
I'm thinking one will have to play with the shaders used in the SSS nodes and have a "set" for different texture maps.
That background is one of the bedroom props with an image of a skyline placed behind it - I think it may be Chicago
"If you don't have a strong backlight for shadows on" - Think that is what I am missing...

Thread: Lighting a background Image P6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I tried all those methods - but still couldn't get it to show up, most likely it depends on how much actual light you have in the scene. I also tried all different variations to no avail. I ended up just resing the image and using it as a background, not really the way I wanted it. I'm not detered though - I will experiment more and let you all know if I crack onto the secret. BTW - the "slide" idea didn't work....
