Well, I did consider bs'ing a bit about all the work I went to getting the proper values of black right, but I figured you guys would see right through that. The truth is I spend my lunch hour today playing with litst's tutorial, and all my home-time has been spent trying to put something together for this month's "The Machine" challenge. (Much to the annoyance of my dog, who thinks I have better things to do -- anyone else have to deal with uppity canines nudging one's elbow while at the keyboard?) Maybe I can go be foggy tomorrow... I wonder if anyone will notice the difference...

Thanks for the tutorial litst, I'm gonna try it out today on my lunch hour -- we'll give it a newbie "test run". If there's anything that can be misunderstood, I'm sure to misunderstand it, so this should be quite the stress test. --Terri

Probably a day or so? Not sure, because I decided this one was a keeper, and ended up backing up to the first subdivision. I've gotten into the habit of keeping 3 versions of the file, so I have an anubis (unsubdivided) an aunubissub1 (subdivided once) and anubissub2 (the one above). The musculature was done just by pinching it at elbow and wrist, and then letting the second subdivision do the work. In other words, I got lucky. Anyway, I think I'm going to play with this one a while, and see if I can't bring it all the way into poser (reading over various tutorials). Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. It really increased the fun/frustration ratio! --Terri

Cool. I like how you have the model of the monitor displayed on the monitor. And I think it's neat how you've got a pretty realistic looking monitor with only a few vertices. (I say "pretty realistic" becauce my monitor screen if full of dust and finger prints, heh). Very nice. --Terri
