Talked me into it - I was concered I may not be able to comment enough, but the concensus in that thred seems to be "do as much as you can". Cant argue with that so i am joining.

Just in time for me - I'm moving from V3 to V4. Nicer toes will realy be good since my characters seem to be bare-foot most of the time for some reason. Thank you very much!

stewer Is what you have in /Library/Frameworks different from what you had for P6 ? (if you had P6)
Because I have a file called FrameWork.py in Runtime/Python/Mac/Lib .
So does that mean the interpreter is not embeded for P6?

English is not my first language and I had a terrible time with spelling at school learning it as a forein language . I lived a lot of years in the US and in the UK,so it was very liberating to find out about the different versions of spellings. Now I just spell things as I like - surely it will be right in some version or other... (Or is it that I am always wrong in one version or other?)
My daughter(raised in the UK) spent a term in a US university and was always asked to "say something English" and she would teach them how to say various rude words in a "proper" English pronounciation...
In addition to spelling there is also the confusion of different words for the same thing, and same words for different things.Like - torch/flashlight; bonnet/hood;pavement/sidewalk; elevetor/lift; flat/appartment etc. The funniest is trousers/pants - americans use pants for an outer garment, but in england that's the word for underware!

Stuffit expander will work on zip files. The only thing (so far) I couldnt use stuffit for was the apollo downloads because it requires a password, however if your MAC is new you probably have a newer stuffit so you'll be fine.
Also could open a "terminal" window and use unzip.
Except for programs themselves, which are specific to computers, havnt found things that do not work on the mac.
Oh,and I think some phython things may have problems, havnt gotten to that yet.
(We are a purely MAC family - I think bringing in a PC would be grounds for divorce)
Having fun yet? Very addictive!

Thank you Diolma and Conniekat, I'm sure taht will get me going. I tried downloading greenlees videos but it was very slow, and I started hiting keys got stuck and stopedit. I'll try again later. I had a look at the other link and that looks very promising. I dont think I got any tutorials with hexagon - I got it in March when DAZ sold it for $2, so maybe this was a limited version. Or maybe I should download it again, hmmm. (I don't like reference manuals but i do use tutorials suplied with programs). Anyhow, it seems that Hexagon has similar terms to those I remember from Strata, so probably will be good!
Well, I certainly got a lot of usefull info.(See Conniekat, I knew It was a good think to ask you!)

I totaly sympathize with you - people on the forum here seem to cover such a wide range of abilities and skills it is hard to know how to address issues. As for me, I am good at Maths (my first love...), very new to nodes, and thus would strugle to put it together, but I'll tell you what I am very good at - copying the examples you put up ! (very subtle hint,hint....).

If you wanted dynamic (strands) hair have a look at Adorana's hair, available here at renderosity free. In particular the Baronie or Calcaria hair. They may not be curley enough or long enough but that can be adjusted in the hair room if you are willing to play around a bit. (Would take longer to render but looks so much better).(Or go directly to the site at the link)

I looked it up and QuickDress indeed seems like a good start, Unfortunately I am using a MAC and anim8or is for PCs only. I am guessing other programs probably have similar tools but if i have a choice I still would like a tutorial for a program I actually have... So if Conniekat wants/can explain I would still love it...
(I havnt used any of these modelling programs,so i'm a complete novice in that respect, but quite a few years ago I used Strata3d which was realy nice, but the old version I have dosnt seem to export anything usefull for Poser)

**Sweetpegster:**Look at PhilC's video tutorials, very easy to follow, with voice over. It's for P5 but didnt change much in P6 (I dont have P7 but I think its the same too).
(He says not towait more than a minute or two, but if you item is big/ high resolution it can take time, and of course dependson your computer power)
Conniekat8:
I'm jumping on the band wagon too- I have wings3d and Hexagon but have been puting off using them because I couldnt see usefull tutorials. Found some about making objects (Table, wine glass...) but no outfits. So if you know of any, or if you could go through some simple example - would realy love you! For me it would be usefull to have an example of a fitting item (eg t-shirt) and a loose item (eg wide skirt), but any example would do for a start.

By the way,are you sure the little bits of tan in the blue areas and vice versa are poke through problem due to the dyn.? I get something similar on the conforming dress, when I rotate the camera, (see pic). Maybe it occurs in the regions facing west or east,to use your analogy, where roundoff inaccuracies determines if it gets assigned a 0 or a 1 almost randomly.
Anyhow,I think I got it now so I'll be able to utilize it sometime. This is so cool.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.

I am having difficulties too. I do understand what you suggested, bugginsbill, and I managed to get it to work on a one sided plane that I got from the props/primitive section that came with p6.
However I didnt get anything usefull when applied to cloths.I applied it first to a dress I d/l from poserfashion and then tried it on simple Jessi cloths from the P6 library (the conforming vest and the grey dress) with no luck. On the grey dress, for example, I expected the outside to be red, and inside green, what happend was the front come out red,the back green and the inside is just black. It may well have to do with the 1-sided/2-sided issue, but is there a way to tell,in Poser, if an oprop is 1or 2 sided?
Oh what a shame. I don't even need it particularly at the moment, it just seemedlike such a neat trick I couldnt help myself but play with it!

Thread: Delete/Insert frames? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A related questioncameup recently (http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?message_id=2947205&ebot_calc_page#message_2947205)
My current conclusions (with some help from the answers I got)
As Little_Dragon said you can select keyframes and copy/paste etc. However I dont think you can select frames in between keyframes and do anything with them (eg cant copy cant delete etc)
When you copy a keyframe and it includes a clothing item which was in a cloth simulations ,
the shpe of the cloth is not copied over. I was thinking the reason for that is that the cloths shape is not controled by parameters like the pose of a figure. I ment to test this by including a morph in the animation and trying to copy such a keyframe, however I didnt get around to it yet.
-Stricktly speaking you cant delete or add frames anywhere but at the end. You can work around it by copying the relevant keyframes forward or backwards.
I only do annimation for cloth and hair, but was very surprised I cant find better annimation
editing tools
Of course, my negative conclusions may be partialy or completely wrong being that I dont have that much experience. I'll be delighted to be proven wrong and shown there are easy-peasy ways to do what I said cant be done.
Anyone from e-frontier know & would like to coment?
