Windows users just happen to freely provide the OVERWELMING majority of 3d models, textures, tutorials, Poser web sites, etc. and otherwise freebies that we all enjoy. And almost ALL of those dedicated modelers are willing to accomidate us Macintosh users who have specific needs in regards to our file system 'qwerks'. Some have even spent enormous time and effort to help us when we a problem with a particular file when they didn't have to and could have shrugged us off with a "I don't support Macs". I think you would be well served if you did not make infer that you would be helped better by a Mac-user. This is simply not true. As for your texture, it is a very light texture. You may need to turn posette all white for the texture to show up. 1. Select "posette". 2. Go to the "Render" menu and select "Materials". 3. Click on "Object Color". 4. Change whatever color is displayed to "pure white". Posette will now look like a ghost. She'll be completely white. That's O.K. Do a render. What was happening is posette's skin color was mixing with your texture (which is very light). And because her skin color was darker than your texture, you were not 'seeing' your texture. Hope that helps you.

Might try the DAZ3D freebies archive. I remember they had a "Priest Pak". Props that were more along the lines of "The Exorsist" or vampire slaying kinda stuff. I don't remember what all it included but there may be something in there you're looking for. Happy hunting.

Ah this is a re-post. Jim, you did this some time ago, I remember viewing it. Heh... It's still a great render. Thanks. My subject title might draw a few more in. ;)

That's like asking "Where can I get some sea shells?" when you're standing on the beach. Start with the Free Stuff area here. There are thousands of models here. Then scroll down and look at the links called "Web Ring Top 15". These links will take you to sites where you can find dozens more. Your list of links and quickly grow to hundreds. But the first place you want to go is: www.rabbitsoft.com and download the great utility apps created by MartinC just for Macs. Then come back here, scroll down the list on the right side, and check out the Macintosh forum. Welcome & happy hunting! ; )

Thread: CL Throws up its hands... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just a quick thought I had. Most software companies grant an 'upgrade' price. CL's P5 is MORE than what P4 originally cost, and no upgrade pricing. You have to pay the full price. From the quick release of Poser Pro Pack and P5, I'd say that this is code that was heaped upon P4, and not a complete re-write as the version number suggests. Also the fact that there are LOTS of bugs is another indication of new code conflicting with existing code. If P5 had been written from the ground up, the development would have taken two to three years. Its obvious that CL paid a premium price to aquire Poser and is squeezing its users for the maximum amount of cash. Why do you tolerate it?

thanks again cooler, I didn't think you had forgotten but had gotten very busy, and I didn't want to bug you. Several years ago I emailed Gibson about my RB-250 and never heard from them either. shrugs I do hope they answer you. cheers
