Hi
That was it!!!
When I opened the properties for the wing and deselected the visible box the white line disapeared but the wing was still visible.
It is impossible to select the wing it'self once you do this, so, that's the reason for the handle.
I never thought to try this because I just assumed that the wing would become invisible if I unclicked the box.
Thanks for the help.

Hi
I think you are right, I think these are added to the bird to make is easy to grab.
They do go away if you render an indivigual frame.
I'll try and see if I can find them listed as a seperate item.

Did you try to render in Preview mode? In the Animation menu: Make Movie -> Movie Settings: for Renderer: choose Preview. Then "Make Movie". This is very fast but does not leave the Preview-ornaments in the images. You can also try to use the the SreeD-Renderer in the render-settings, which looks slightly better in some cases and still very fast.
Hi
Yes this is the way that I normally create my videos.
I use Preview mode when I create the .AVI files.
I don't think this is an artifact caused by antialiasing, if you look closely you will see that the white line is a double line and it only follows around the outside of the Wings and the tip of the tail, not the whole bird.
I will check for the other settings mentioned, but I place stuff like this in my videos all the time and have never seen this before.
Just to check I stuck several other animals etc, into he same video and the outline didn't appear around any part of any of them.

Hi
When you mentioned rendering it started me thinking and sure enough once it's rendered the outline disapears.
But I can't render a whole video since it would takes days if it ever completed at all.
So I guess unless there is a way to turn it off this isn't going to work.

Hi
Here is a screen shot....

You can see the double line around the wings an tail.
It looks like there should be a way to turn this off.
I just can't figure out how.
This is part of an animated video and doesn't get rendered.
It's output in the Preview mode at 1600 by 1200 and then reduced to smaller sizes in the final output.

Hi
I'll check it out again.
But the thing that I don't understand is that if I look at the scene from the side view camera, you can see that the bird is some distance behind the character, but when I switch back to the main carera the bird appears to be in the same location as the characters head.
Why doesn't the bird appear the same from all views?
If I switch to the overhead camers the bird doesn't show at all!
I don't know what's happening.
Next time I look at it I'll try slowly rotating the main carera around and see what happens, I didn't do this because I didn't want to change the real camera position but I guess it doesn't matter if I don't save it.
I'll let you know what happens.

The problem is that by the time the bird appears, it is a full face view of the character without enough space for the bird to fly overhead.

Hi everyone.
I downloaded the Cardinal from ContentParadise and it seems to be just what I need.
I made it black to pass for a crow, but I'm having a problem.
It's one of those things that always drives me crazy with Poser.
When I have the bird fly behind my character the bird always appears to fly through her head.
I don't mean an illusion that it passes through her head, you can see the bird enter her head half was back, if the wing is up it moves through her forehead like a shark fin through the ocean.
Yet when I rotate the camera around to the side you can see that the bird is clearly a long way behind her.
I've tried over and over to get the bird to appear to fly behind here but it just won't work. I really don't understand what's happening.
Anyone have any idea.
The bird isn't really crucial to this, but it would be a nice atmospheric touch.

Thread: How do I move a frame from one clip to another? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi
That's the way I start a connected clip too.
The situation I have now is that I have a two complete clips that are supposed to fit together but the first frame in the second clip, (do to lip sycing and ajustments) no longer matches the last frame in the first clip exactly.
I'm looking for a way to move the first frame of the second clip to the end of the first clip.
Right now i'm using a crossover transition to cover up the jump but I'd like to elininate it all together.
I seems like there should be a way to save a whole frame and move it but I haven't found one.

Hi
I think I have tried that but I'll take another look at it.
I need to move everything, characters props lighting etc so that all the settings stay the same in the frame.
How do other people do clips that have to match end to end.
The 3400 frame clip is the longest I've done and I'm having trouble creating the AVI file from it at 1200 by 900 ppi.
Having the voice track on it seems to cause problems.
I finally ended up doing it 850 frames at a time and that seems to be working OK.

HiFunny I thought I replied to this but I don't see it here now.
I did get it to work, I don't know why but as long as I didn't remove the sound it would make the AVI file.
With the sound removed it always stopped at about the same point, no matter where I started.
The reason that I'm adding the sound in Poser is because it is lipsyncing with my character in Poser.
But in the Past I have had to remove the sound after getting the lipsync right to import it to Premiere.
I thought I was going to have to run the file through Windows Movie Maker as I have in the past, to get it to open in Premiere but when I gave it a try both halves of the video loaded and synced perfectly.
I have never been able to get the AVI files with a sound track from Poser to open in Premiere before.
I hope it will do so in the future. I have the lipsync part of the project complete and saved so I can get on with the rest of it now.
I will try Virtual Dub 1.8.8 a try.
I still have to do the titles which I normally put together in Adobe Image Ready with frames made in Photoshop, but I'll try it this way and see how it goes.
Thanks for the help.
Mike
I have added a link to a short video that shows the kind of thing I'm doing.

Hi again
That worked!!!
All that work because everyone told me to put it in the System 32 folder.
Now I can go back and give them the correct answer. LOL!
It no longer open is in Windows Media player but in a Window of it's own.
Always opened in Media Player before, I don't even know where this player comes from unless it is Amovie its self.
But is very fast and opens right away and gives me what I was after; a quick way to check my animations.
Thanks for the help

Hi Rance01
I just got a new computer from Falcon Northwest and it has made a big difference.
The tests I did indicate that it runs about 6.5 times as fast as my Dell XPS.
In the online game Aion I can get frame rates as high as 220 fps.
When I'm testing I just use the standard setting to create a AVI file.
I'm usually working with 300 frames per clip and in large formats i.e. 1600 by 900 or so.
Then I later edit and put the pieces together in Adobe Premiere and export as mpeg2 or to DVD.
As far as the .ocx file I did find a place to download it ...
http://www.down-dll.com/index.php?file-download=amovie.ocx
I got instructions on intergrating it into Windows 7 on several tech forums.
But after days of messing around including installing older codex packages I had no luck in getting it to run.
If you have any luck come back and let me know, I'll check back from time to time.

Hi
When I'm animating stuff I do a lot of testing making a file, seeing how it runs, adjusting and doing it again and again.
It's nice to have it just pop open and not have to go to navigate to my folder and open it from there every time. I suppose I could at least leave the folder open on the task bar, just thought of that.
