There is only a Genesis 3 female currently you would have got that with your download. I think Daz will keep the supply of the Genesis 2 Male and Female going for a while yet. Genesis 2 is good character lots of items available for it.

The Duf Key The Reallusion Duf key is like gold. You set up your Genesis or Genesis 2 character in Daz get everything how you want it. Put the clothing on then get the key and drop it on the head of the character you will get a pop up saying the animation exceeds the current timeline do you want to extend click yes. Then your Genesis character with have full facial expression and lipsyncing capabilities for use in iClone. (In the Daz animation timeline change the total frames figure from 1710 to 1 or it will take forever to send it out) You export it out of Daz (FBX) after locking down every morph you have added or altered. (If you dont lock it down the morphs will not be at other end) Change the export rules to Genesis , Genesis 2 Male or Female depending on which you have set it to 'Ignore' then export it out to 3DX6 and maybe add some motion files. I don't worry about too many adjustments in there as it is easier in iC6. Export out of 3DXChange into iC6(That would be default so File>Export. In iC6 it will be so shiny it might slip off your screen you can select all the skin Ctrl(hold) and change the specularity from 100 down to about 24-29 this would be good starting point. Then adjust iris, pupils lips etc. And there you go piece of cake One Dazzie that will do as it is told and will accept MP3 or Wav files for speech

In regard to your Daz you would be best to center your world around Genesis and Genesis 2 as that is what the RL Duf face keys are for. I don't think there is the key for Genesis 3 as yet since that is the newest release from Daz

Are you running iClone Pro or Pipeline? and have you got 3DXchange6 ?

Character Creator is for making characters for the software and or the store etc

iClone can use the Daz characters with a little adjusting Genesis 2 I found had a lower polycount so more efficent although occasionally the hair can get up there in count more than the character.

@JunkoH Well I'm a T-girl so I gotta sit on the fence with this one but when I was a 14 year old the scantly clad fae's were not high on the agenda with my fantasies. In fact I did not even know they were real until I met Mel a lyricist from the UK this year. She has ears just like in the image above, a good ear for music, they are like sound shells. I can't say I have seen her in the outfit though but I shall ask her. I do think it should be taken into consideration that there are many female content developers making similar clothing and characters because they are naturally very good at it. I guess they rely on the contingent of males to purchase the product and dress up their 3D dolly's after all it helps keep the food on the table and pay the bills. Females also render some great scenes along the same genre. I am working on a project with a G2 male and I can hardly find clothing for it........ scantly clad, he is going to end up naked in the clip the way it is going

wheatpenny is on the right track if you were a vendor looking to make it as a asset it would be a lot tougher. In other software but similar bone/rig structure for animated characters we would remove the jaw and bottom teeth and remod and make the bottom half a accessory/prop to attach no different than you would a hat. If you wanted to use this concept for the one image then multiple renders from same camera angle in iRay (set to render scene only) stages and a few hours in Photoshop. Background scene-Character with expression and mouth open wide with limits see if you can slide jaw to left or right just to point of distortion (more to drag face muscles in right direction) -Character with limits off and wayward tongue to be manipulated using previous image. Use combo of both and clone stamp, eye dropper 3D tools to manipulate image. basically cut and shut.

Sorry atpo I thought you already had updated and was looking for the content and render engine. hborre has put you on the right path. Once you have updated it will all become clearer for you.as Iray will actually be there :-) In render settings tab at the top you will be able to choose between Iray or the 3Delight you would be using now plus any other engine like Luxus if you have it installed.

With Daz updates most will come directly to you via your DIM so in the first tab there is a little section that sits at top of your available downloads you will find any updates or DIM enabled content updates there. Just select items and start queue.and it does it all for you

Hi pepillo I do not fully understand your question but if you are using Iray then you can set domes up in the render settings tab. There are also some products available that are compatible with Iray, If you use a skydome that would have worked for example using 3Delight the previous Daz render platform then you will probably find a black screen since Iray works differently and you would be blocking out the light. Chrissie is showing you how to alter the original skydomes to be able to use them. You probably already have a dome? If not look in the Rendo free products or marketplace. Select entire scene and apply the Iray Uber Defaults The most improtant part of this is the Draw dome and Finite box settings. The rest is just personal adjustment preferences light etc.

Iray render engine is included for free with Daz Studio 4.8 atpo. You can buy extra lights presets and vendor shaders etc. But all the basics are included and installed with the Daz upgrade. Shaders can be found in the library and the render drop down preference (Wireframe, cartoon,texture shaded etc) the last one at the very bottom will give you the Iray preview. Which is best in the mini preview port and not the main preview work area unless you have plenty of ram.

First up from what I see it is not the quality of what is on offer. I see many comments that nearly everything is for the female characters and not enough for the males so it is not going to be either of them that is the issue. Heading into weekend can be a little quiet across the web I am sure you will get testers.

You can get the same Image quality with iClone but just expect the same render times you get in Daz on a per frame basis using iRay instead you will render out in Indigo also the footage is cut in AVI format from my memory so for your memory you practically need a external drive the images are crystal clear though. You can use Daz figures too. (Genesis 1 & 2). The speech and animation tools are far superior.

I have never used Poser for animation and only dabbled with Daz with its aniMate2 or Mimic live this is where you will will be heading to carry out the task. I don't think the basic aniMate included is fully functioned(Stand corrected if it is) and the Mimic is a paid plugin. Check both out

I will pass this on JPayne I admit I have a similar problem and quantity. It may not be possible I am of the thought that the smart content is controlled by the Daz "DIM" and could be a feature for their own PA's. I am only guessing but I can't think of a single product I have purchased outside of the Daz store that has showed up in my Smart Contents.
