Yes, the native Poser People have been a disappointment in my far from humble opinion!! They're the kids who never make it out of detention!!
I've been told DSON works best with Poser Pro 2014, but that 's my favorite toy, so I'm reluctant to break it by adding DSON to it... It's pretty substandard on PP 2012, agian, in my opinion.
I've Also heard you can use DSON to Import G2F/G2M and their sibs & then save 'em to your poser runtime (Select her, Edit > Memorize > Figure) and they behaves like they should, but I haven't tried it yet.

Via DAZ's Dson importer, you can use all of DAZ's models up to the G3 series. Poser 11 comes with all the Poser people created since Poser 5. Most of the human or human-ish models created by Anyone other than Daz are expected to work.
Hope this helps

Thread: Clothing Morphs | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Hi there. Well, using Micheal 2, Those are pretty much your options. I don't believe any super conforming clothing exists for him.
With some effort you can add missing morphs to conforming clothing with Morph Manager, a free ware utility Available here --> http://mystic-nights.com/freebies/details.php?image_id=318
Good Luck!

Thread: add clothes and combine it with figure | Forum: New Poser Users Help
If you select the target figure before you drag and drop, the clothing should Auto conform! Good luck and enjoy Poser!!

two options! You can load everything, then select the clothing and then choose Figure > Conform to and then choose DAWN's Body from the drop down list.
Or you can load Dawn and Click on her to be sure she's selected. Then with your mouse, grab the item you want her to wear and drop it on top of her. Poser will sweetly pop up a box saying Conforming to Dawn. You don't have to select the part of her the clothing fits... I usually click on a finger, even when adding boots.
Now this only works if you're clothing is coming from from the Character Section of the library. If they're located in Props they are dynamic clothing and will need to be fitted Via the Cloth room. I have instructions for that if you need them.

Thread: Display slow down | Forum: New Poser Users Help
It's the PC, not Poser...... You can bog down machines with 3 times the ram... it just takes longer! Do you have the means to reduce the physical size of the textures?

Thread: Display slow down | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Hi ya.
Just guessing here....
This is fairly typical behavour when Poser is operating at the top end of your system's capabilities.
And some items are much larger than others. A fully morphed V4 is something like 4 megs, but the un-morphed version is a couple k! And you can't tell them apart by looking!
So... Things that help. Save your scene and reboot. This will clear any memory leaks you may be suffering. If you have programs that open on boot, like mail or skype, close 'em. Now launch Poser. Things should be better.
If it's still slow you'll be reduced to double clicking the dials and manually adjusting the values to get your items properly placed.
Wire frame, if you can stand it (I can't) and you're not already using it, is said to reduce the demands on the PC and allow more responsive behaviour.
Another option is to delete/restore items until you find out what is causing the slow down and replace that something with a lighter weight version. I don't have the patience to actually follow that advice, so it comes completely unencumbered!!
I'd plan to render to the background in this case. If I were proactive and remembered where I left that serious number.....
Best of luck!!!

Thread: BRAND NEW: Need help with some Very Basic Basics | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Hi ya
You have confused my by saying Poser/Daz.
And I don't have enough information to give you minute step by step information.....
IF you are using Windows AND you really did mean Poser....
Are you comfortable having two windows open at the same time on your machine??
If so...
Find your Poser Runtime.
It should be in something like Program FilesSmith MicroPoser Pro 2014
Inside Runtime, You'll see a bunch of folders....
Geometries, Libraries, Textures, Python, etc....
Now, Go Back up one lever so you see Runtime. There may be other folders beside it.
Now, in another window, go to where you downloaded your new toy.
Double Click the Zip file. it will open up and show you Runtime & Documentation if it 's a current file from Renderosity.
Select both folders and drag them from the zip file and drop them into the folder that contains Runtime.
Repeat if there is more than one zip for the product. ONLY the Documentation folder items will over write.
Good luck!! Andy!
