looks good. impressive script.
however, can it process more than one actor? it would spawn the subdivided actor as a new figure, but how to incorporate it into the actual figure?

if interested drop me a site mail. it is not on rendo yet because there is no easy way of update notifications and keeping contact with the early users, so i think the better choice is to collect feedback directly for a while until absolutely nothing comes up for some time.

First its enough if the .OBJ could be adjusted.
The morphs I could still create by subdividing morphed characters I think.
But thats not an issue now.
I didnt manage to do it with blender, does anybody know which import/export settings would have to be used?
Thread: PLEASE help with Poser8/Zbrush3.5 problem. Anyone. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
i meant what corvas posted. morph as a layer. but I wonder really, how zbrush could possibly distinguish what was moved and what was rotated. this would suggest using the normals, but in Poser, morphs are more than shifts along a vertex normal. maybe they can use the neighbour polygons somehow.

This ZBrush trick looks interesting. I do not own this powertool, so I cannot really judge how good it works. But I wonder somehow how ZBrush could actually revert all of Posers deformations just because it is getting two .OBJ as input ? You could post how good the results are, i'm really curious. I could assume it is using the normals somehow?

Yes, that might be possible. But I wonder why the number of points showing a deviation is so small. If it was due to truncation, shouldn't there be a kind of uniform distribution of the deviations of the verts?
@les: Did you also note that effect on any occation?
Thread: A question for clothing designers / modelers. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Is there something available like kind of a core feature comparison table for the various modellers? I want to start learning modelling too. I think I will hardly have the budget to buy a Zbrush or Cinema4d I thought going with blender would be the best option.
Is there anything that speaks against blender besides the interface issue?
Thread: Memorize and Restore not reliable? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No Ik chains available for this item.
Mysterious indeed.
I saw that on another occasion, but thought it was "bug" in the DAZ Generation 4 figures or a problem DAZ vs Poser somehow. If you take a fresh M4, apply Morphs++,
set the Feetsize Morphform to -0.25, Create Full Body Morph, Dial that to 1.0, Memorize Figure, Restore Figure, the Feet shrink to -0.5.
Something is "out of sync".
But still, I think a figure should be able to be back-uped and restored properly. Especially if nothing else happens between backup and restore :)

Yes, I think so too. I am not so much into tentacles yet (-:
But its an interesting thing to generate complete figures I must admit. Thank you for the links.

I have not yet researched this area yet.
I was told that in Poser8, you could do such a thing on the fly. Had no time to try it yet :)
(One of the reasons I bought it - but maybe its not possible after all?)
JoePublic was an expert with regard to this I think. Maybe he knows more?
