Merry Christmas (haha)...
Or to learn tolerance! To appreciate the fact that we are all different and to graciously accept that.
Someone mentioned the removal of Christmas trees in some areas. That's happening in Canada too. And to me that's just going too far.
I'm all for blending of cultures but don't stomp on the rights of people to celebrate their religion. First there was the elimination of the Lord's Prayer in school, and now Christmas trees. However, on the other side of the coin some cultures have fought and won the right to wear certain clothing items and carry certain types of "weapons" in schools / work / jobs etc all in the name of their religious beliefs. So how exactly is that different from putting up a Christmas tree at Christmas or saying the Lord's Prayer in a public school?
All of this political correctness is taking on a double standard, and that's what is truly offensive.
We all need to learn tolerance, and unfortunately I don't see that happening any time soon :(
I'm glad they eliminated the Lord's Prayer in school. Back when I was in grade school, I belonged to a religion which did not acknowledge the divinity of Jesus. I could either say the prayer, which would be against my religion, mumble, which would make me a hypocrite, or not say the prayer, which would single me out. This is the same school in which I was accused of being a Christ killer several times, once being jabbed with a pencil for it. (This occured after I was made to stand up in front of the class and explain why I didn't celebrate Christmas.)

I'm trying to, but without any definition of what the content flags mean it is hard to apply. I'm writing the admins for clarification.

I used the Picasso Model Facemorph (Available for Free somewhere or other) and ended up with the following:
OK, actually I did it almost entirely with stock morphs. (I did split one morph dial.)

Quote - Actually, the Shat just put out an album in the last year or so entitled "Has Been". Not sure how it compares to the wonderful "Transformed Man" which can fill a gap in any music collection.
I liked it. He has a good sense of humor, and he had the sense to collaborate with people like Ben Folds and Henry Rollins. There are also a couple of touching songs, one about his late wife, and one about not being there for his daughter when she was growing up.

I was playing around and managed to create an absolutely hideous face by taking advantage of the asymetrical face morphs. (OK, I did split two morph targets.)
As soon as I get a usable render, I'll put it up in my gallery.

Great,
I can't wait to try it out. I had an idea for a render but it needed some wooden blocks. This will do the trick quite nicely.

Quote - Yes, very different. The new mapping address the issue of texture stretching that quite a few people have been complaining about for a while.
At this moment I don't know if Steve from 3DUniverse will be doing a UTC plug-in for V4, but I think he should be mad not to give it a try.
That would be nice. There are a lot of very nice makeup textures out there for V3, and I would really like to convert them to V4.

Quote - Most artists, except for those dealing in non-figurative art, imitate an existing element/set of elements in order to express something.
Abstract artists, the good ones at least, also try to express things, and often they will imitate an existing set of elements, just not traditionally "figurative ones". For example, Kandinsky uses rectangles and lines.

Quote - > Quote - I've been looking for SVDL but am having trouble finding it. Any tips? SS
I think it's the stripzero.py, and / or spawncharacter.py
Either way, it sounds complicated.
The stripzero script is dead simple. Select a figure, run the script. You can usually reduce the size by about 80%. (If you hack the exclusion files, you can usually reduce it even further.) For my purposes, this is sufficient -- I don't need to slim things down the extra 10% by consolidating morphs etc. The one "gotcha" to look out for is that it will also strip morphs off of props (such as hair) which are parented to the figure.
For cr2s, I like to have all the morphs, in fact, I usually have, for figures I use often, all sorts of muscle adjustment morphs (like "flex biceps") -- I'm not worried about the disk space, just the memory usage when rendering.
In summary, i find "stripzero" sufficently effective that I've not bothered going into the arcana of further size minimization.

(Sorry, couldn't resist... I'm getting bored of this topic... lol)
I remember back in the old days (mid-80s) when the big deal in computer graphics was rendering Mandrills (a type of colorful ape). There was an April issue of the Communications of the ACM which had an article on "Ray-tracing Jello", which, although it was a serious and refereed article, also managed to cite Bill Cosby and Soupy Sales.

Quote - if you prefer to render blackhearted's GND in awful soul's clothes surrounded by DM's primitives, you should not be disappointed, if some people refuse to pay the respect you are looking for..... simple, isn't it?
I get kind of embaressed when someone compliments me on stuff in my gallery which I'm not responsible for. (I don't design my own clothes, the only textures I've done have been tweaking skin textures using merchant resources, and I don't do my own backgrounds. On the other hand, I seriously tweak light sets, poses, body and hair morphs etc.)

I've used SVDL's remove morphs and boy is it great. It really speeds up the render times, which is the main thing I needed it for. You can use it on anything with morph targets. As a side note, it will remove non-zero morphs from props parented to a character.
