Why not just use the built in Python script in Poser 6 like Porthos said instead of going through all the trouble of downloading and installing a bunch of 3rd party scripts? It's very simple: Window:Python Scripts Then from the Python pop-up: Utility Funcs:Delete all lights. Works for me.
Thread: Why is my background pic disappearing when I render the scene? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What I like about turning the background into a prop is that you can move it around and rescale it so as to make the background fit your characters instead of trying to force your characters into fitting into the background.
Thread: ahh cloth room took a vacation? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What did you re-install? Does this do it for every cloth you try to do, or just certain items? Try just draping the hi-res square over a ball and see if that works. If it does it probably is just a problem with the figure you are using or the clothing item.

Put the picture you want on the single sided square from your primitives in the props library. Then scale the single sided square up to the size you want it to fill the background. Think of the single sided square as a billboard with your background picture on it. Caution: Don't use the double sided square or the hi-res square, you'll get weird artifacts in your render if you do.
Thread: wip, posted quick, flagged just in case, big file | Forum: Bryce
I think people are getting way too paranoid about this nudity thing when you have to set the nudity flag for a fully clothed character. There's more nudity in a G rated Disney movie than I see in this scene.

Thanks, DRACONIAN, I never knew you could restrict the magnet to just a selected group of polys.
Thread: Poser Runtime Folder Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sorry but I am not getting an answer I am after. Maybe I am not explaining myself very well so I will try again.
In the Poser Application there's a folder called "Runtime" and in this folder there are folders called: Geometries, Libraries, Textures etc. Well when I get a new Poser or Daz model it asks me to put the .obj files and material files into their separate folders within this "Runtime" folder.
But what I am saying is you don't have to have just this one
single runtime folder. You can create several runtime
folders, each with its own geometry, libraries, and textures
subfolders in it.
So is there a way to organize my files so I don't have to go searching through all the "Runtime" sub folders for the
files I want to back up?
There are probably lots of ways, but for me the way that works
the easiest is to just create several runtimes so
I don't have to wade through one huge runtime.

Thread: Poser Runtime Folder Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I put my charcters in a runtime called "People", except for the DAZ characters, they get their own runtime called "DAZ", my clothes in a runtime called "Clothes", animals in a runtime called "Animals", props in a runtime called "Props", etc. I can't see any reason you couldn't have a runtime devoted to helicopters called "Helicopters" if thats what you want to do. Just create a folder called Helicopters, put a runtime in as subfolders and then link it to Poser 6 by clicking the checkmark at the bottom of the library list.

What I do when I want to pose something and there isn't a canned pose for it is to just take something that is close to the pose I want and then just start spinning the dials. It takes a while, but like anything, the more you practice at it the easier it gets. This one for example, could start as a kneeling pose, which there are lots of in the Free Stuff section, and then just move things around to make it look more like this. Turning IK on and off for the hands will let you get the hands just where you want them.
Thread: A definition of art for yesterday's cute little troll: | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"wow...some people will buy anything..." Yeah, that's the weird part. Any freak can do something strange and call it art. And even the big auction houses are in it for the money and so maybe will sell anything. But, yeah, what would motivate someone to buy it. Is there some sort of tax write off we don't know about?
Thread: dumb question......P6 reflection (mirror) ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There is a known bug in Poser 6 reflections and refractions. This might be causing the blurriness you are seeing. I was getting some ugly distortions in refractions in Poser 6 that I wasn't getting in Poser 5 so I sent an email to Curious Labs about it and sent them a picture showing the problem. They replied that they are aware of the problem and that the service release will fix it. Cross your fingers.
Thread: Adding to the material room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just play around with the nodes until you find something you like and then save it by clicking on the plus sign at the bottom of the materials list. You should get a pop-up box and enter what you want to call your material in it. Then when you want to use it on something, select the object you want to use it on. Select your material and click the check mark. It should apply that material to that object.
