Thank you, Sharen :) I'll keep trying. But It is really weird! lol I've modelled the cloth like a box with 4 sides, - and the corners in addition. Hmm.... ponder.

Amapi version 4.15 is also a free program. You can go to the amapi forum here in Renderosity and find the url for the old 4.15 version. It's a good way to start :) There are several tutorials in the forum itself. Britt

kieraw - phew.... this has been a marathon! *lol* But I'll get there. (Not that I'm stubborn or anything *grin*) sirkrite; yup! that's what I did with the Daisy. I smoothened it, - then exported it, - just the petals to see if I could make it work. And I could. The flip side is that the little flower ended up with a VERY heavy polygon count! *lol* I'll have to see how little I can get away with in the smoothing department. But just so you guys know it, - there will be problems with flowers created in PlantStudio. ;) Phew. I seem to run into all kinds of weird problems! *lol* Who would have thunk that I'd use 2 days to create a rose (that still is black, btw. *lol*) Thank you guys! This forum is priceless! Britt

I had the great fortune to wake up at 3 this morning!!! I never do that.. So I got up, put the morning coffee on, - and tuned in to the Norwegian Official Broadcasting station online. They sent the wedding directly, - over the net! :) I did the same when Our Crown prince got married last year. It feels very special to be here, - and be able to watch such powerful moments for the couple, for their relatives, and for the Dutch people. In fact it was poerful for me. :) The Norwegian papers are full of wedding pictures too. And most likely the majority of the Norwegian people were glued to the TV screens watching. And yes.. the Tango was breath-taking :) Thank you for sharing the pictures, Here is one from the largest Norwegian paper, Aftenposten: Image Loading... and if you'd like to see a series of pictures from the same paper, - you can find them here. The subtitles are in Norwegian, - but most of the pictures tells their own tale :) Britt

Hmm... not sure I'm making progress. The stem and leaves are now green, - but the petals are still black... Arghh! Anything else I can do to fix this problem??? Anyone?

Yup... pressing the isert button in UV mapper returned a message that 30 facet were corrupted, - and it asked me if I wanted it fixed. Of course I responded NO (jk).. We shall see! Maybe you guys have deserved a rose tonight! :)) Britt

Hi! It's me again. lol How can I fix the polygons? It seems that that's the problem. I tried to set the reflection color to white, but no go. Is there a way that I can fix those polygons? And How do I "see" on the model that they're corrupt? Britt

I think I've tried everything now. I've even modelled a single red rose, - imported it to Poser, - out to UV-mapper, - mapped it. Back to poser, - and the same thing happens. The rose is black. That might be interesting for some other project, but was not what I had in mind. I imported it to Bryce 5 to see how that would react, - and the rose takes Bryce textures with no problem. Hmm... I'm stumped. I think Xena uses PlantStudio... for the pot plants. They seem to take textures nicely. But is there a trick to the export/import of the obj format from Plant Studio?? Britt
