Their is a general lack of these items for the Poser figures. You may find some items for older figures such as Posette, but there is virtually nothing for Michael or V3. Perhaps with a little time, imagination, and surfing you can come up some of your requested items. Rbtwhiz has created a basketball floor. It may be available from his website or from DAZ At one time basketball clothes were available at DAZ or in freestuff Sport Props can generally be found at 3DCafe Recently some baseball catcher's gear was made available in this forum. Try to do a specific search for a sport on the various forums such as here, PFO, PoserPros, and 3D Commune and you might come up with a gem. The lack of "sporting" clothes for the various characters is one of my major disappointments with the Poser scene. My suggestion, become creative or come up with a need to use Sci-Fi or Fantasy clothing or get into nudity.

Your question has been addressed both civily and uncivily at various times throughout the history of Renderosity and other Poser forums. Checking back in the archives might be fruitful. One search word you might try is "Barbie" since those critical of the approach of using other peoples work say it is like playing with dolls. Clearly you have your idea of "fun" and perhaps you should simply respect other peoples' idea of fun too (I'm not saying you aren't showing respect by asking the question, I'm trying to help you see other perspectives). I like to make my own bread. I might criticize others who don't bake from scratch (using a mix, or store made) as missing most of the actual fun of bread, that is the baking from scratch. The premix camp might argue that for them the fun is not in the kneeding of dough, but in having and eating the results. Another analogy might be that the actual fun of computers is not in using Word, Excel, Wordperfect, Quattro Pro, but in the programming of those programs. Perhaps your argument is not about other useful purposes of Poser, but specific to how people use Poser and then call it "Art" becasue they choose to display their work in the gallery. Well, that brings us to the definition of art. Good luck with that one. I don't consider myself an artist, I use Poser to communicate specific ideas. The extra time it takes to create the model, create the clothing etc. gets in the way, and slows down my communication. Hope my perspective helps.

Your BSOD might be solved by downloading and installing Service release 2.1 and Poser 5 Figures updater from the Curious Labs website. I've got to say it ... "one(1)thread bookmarked anywhere that deals with all of the little quirks and all of the updates" ... if ONLY there was one(1). {;^) You've got a lot of reading and learning ahead of you. There are many people here and tutorials available that you will probably find helpful.

Just to let you know, in P4 I've had a number of files (with numerous figures posed) become corrupted where a previously saved file is opened and the figures are listed in the drop down menu but are not on the screen. They were on the screen when I saved the file, but are now invisible. No amount of Show All, Hierarchy checking, arrowing up, or double clicking helped. I just had to start over. I could never predict, force, or track the problem. It was just an unwelcome surprise. My suggestion is never save over a previously saved file. Just save new versions. When your hard drive becomes full or slows down too much, judiciously delete older versions.

DefaultGuy, Please walk, no run across the office (even if it's actually miles away), and bring Anthony back. He might kick and scream but drag him back (get Kupa's help if necessary). Put him back in front of the computer and cuff him to his chair until he changes his mind. Once he's done that please give him a skin-toughening lesson. He's a valuable member of my (I can't speak for the entire) Poser community. I have learned from and enjoyed his posts and I can't afford to lose such a valuable member because he feels forced to act selfishly during this holiday season.

Tisa, I see Renderosity as a place to discuss issues relevant to Poser. I come each day to learn something and see what everyone is doing. Usually I am greatly entertained and rewarded. Each weekend when I'm away from my computer I return to find over 100 new messages, many of which I find particularly interesting and relevant to me. I have been here a long time and this site has and will continue to evolve in the direction members (with management approval) want it to go. If you would like a new direction I would suggest that you not observe, complain, wine, (choose one) but begin to make it change. Eagle is great except you can't perch her with wings folded out of the box. I believe there might be morphs, add ons, or a separate model for perching that someone else did. I just don't recall at the moment
