I guess we're just going to have to wait for CL to sort it out - however long that will take!! Problem with reducing your memory is what do you do with apps like Vue/Bryce where as the memory you have the better.

Thanks if thats the case - I have tried lowering the quality setting on Direct 3D to balanced as suggested by DarkSkill. But it hasn't resolved my problem - what happens is when I move the mouse pointer over the figure it keeps flickering & the figure disappears - just showing the outline - or sometimes the figure totally disappear - soon comes back once I move the mouse slightly.

Thanks Darkskills That brings me on to another problem that I seem to be having - but relates to my ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card. I try to select the OpenGL option with in the control panel - I click apply & ok, but when I go it's gone back to Direct 3D. I'm really confused as I know it supports OpenGL - any ideas?

Thanks everyone for your advise as this has done the trick. Sorry Neil, I'm using Poser 4 & I have 1gig of ram - do you think I could do with more? I think Yunas is right in saying that Poser uses the out of memory message when something happens that Poser doesn't understand. Could anyone explain the best way for saving chactors (Dressed) for future use - is it best to save them within new people? I've had a go at this before & ran in to problems re-loading the figures. Thanks again for all your advise. John

Thanks Gebe & Dale B, I seem to be getting the hang of this now - although I do have another question. When I creat an animation either in Vue - or imported from poser (mainly)when I play it back it isn't smooth & tends to jump! Is this something to do with the key frames? and if so is it easy to correct? In poser I am using a BHV file that I purchsed from Daz3d. Thanks again John
