We have a Darth Vader outfit for Mike 3 in the Vanishing Point Star Wars (freebie) section, but no Yoda yet. Even though I still have the Yoda zip file on a backup CD, but I don't have the right to offer it to anyone unless I got permission from the original artist.
I agree that their site's "post 5 messages" rule is dumb. Besides the fact that "free" should mean "free" with no strings attached, what's to stop someone from posting 5 spam/ garbage posts just so they can download a file? That rule could make a mess of their forums real quick.

Thread: Sudden CPU demand by SR3? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just a question: is this issue because of Poser 7 SR3 or Windows XP SR3? Did both companies release an SR3 for their products? And did they do it just to confuse people? :)

This happens to me too, when using Poser 7 and PoserPro.
When I use Poser 6, I never get this issue. I've sometimes had Poser 6 open for an entire day, making all kinds of renders and it works fine.
But, if I use PoserPro for more than an hour (or less), I hit this "bug" and Poser disappears like the original poster said: no error message, no "Do you want to report this crash to Microsoft", just nothing.

Is there a new rule where we're not allowed to post links to other people's products? Do we have to say "I can't remember" when it actually takes about 2 seconds to find the product in the Marketplace, especially when you know the vendor's name? Here's Don's store

Thread: OT: Dr Who | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
At the risk of posting a spoiler, I didn't like the ending. It basically invalidated the entire season with Donna! "You know all those adventures you had? You know how you saved the universe? Sorry, no memory of that."
And did anyone really think the Doctor was going to regenerate? The character never regenerates in the next-to-last episode of the season: it's either in the last episode of a season (where we get a glimpse of the new Doctor) or at the very beginning of the first episode (where the previous Doctor, cough Colin Baker, doesn't have the decency to do a renegeration scene).
Though I did like the fact that all of the modern Doctor's companions were in these two episodes... even K-9 showed up!

What kinds of scenes did you have in mind? We at Vanishing Point have a number of sci-fi sets on Content Paradise, including a few starship bridge sets, a starship hallway set, and some sci-fi trucks.

Thread: Best Car model? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It depends what you're going to use the car for: do you want an "everyday" car (like a family sedan) or do you need an exotic race car or do you need a minivan or truck?
What features do you need? Do you need any of the parts to move? For example, will the car be shown with the doors open or with a flat tire?
Will you be making a scene in the mechanic's shop where the wheels of the car need to come off?
Or do you need a car that just sits in the image and looks good? Though for a car to look its best, you should also be aware of how you light the scene.

But, yes, Phil's Slave Leia outfit is excellent... and the original version he made even works with Vicky 2. :)

Thread: Multiple "center of mass" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I followed LostInSpaceman's instructions and things got screwed up.
His instructions are correct: I selected the CenterOfMass prop, hit the delete key, cancelled deleting the figure, and clicked OK to delete the prop.
This process worked fine and I deleted all the extra props.
I then saved the scene file.
I then clicked on my human figure's arm to pose it and Poser said I selected a ball prop. I could move the arm with the move tool, but the Parameters Dials palette still said "ball_1".
I opened the Pose library, selected a pose, and applied it to the human figure. The figure posed, but the clothing came off- the first time this has ever happened (so it wasn't an un-conforming issue).
I then tried to select the clothing, but my mouse pointer disappeared. The mouse still worked, but the pointer vanished whenever it moved over the Poser window.
I closed Poser, restarted it, re-opened the scene, and everything worked fine.
So, I would recommend NOT deleting any CenterOfMass props within Poser. Or if you do, make sure to close Poser and re-start it if you want to do any work.

Thread: Multiple "center of mass" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just to let everyone know, deleting the CenterOfMass prop using the Hierarchy Editor is a bad idea.
I opened a scene file where the clothing figures have multiple CenterOfMass props: the dress has 4 of these props, each of the two shoes has 3 props each, the human figure has 3 props, and so on.
I have the feeling the props are re-created every time the scene file is opened and saved.
(As an aside, why do shoes and other conforming clothing even need 4 CenterOfMass props attached to them?)
I opened the Hierarchy Editor, selected a CenterOfMass prop and hit the Delete key.
Poser gave me the usual "Are you sure you want to delete this figure?" message. I clicked OK, then Poser asked again. I clicked OK again and Poser removed the figure from the scene.
Then, the mouse pointer disappeared completely. The mouse still moved the pointer, but the pointer wouldn't appear anywhere over Poser.
I managed to go to File > Revert, but when I tried to click the Revert button, nothing happened. I couldn't even move to the Cancel button.
I had to force-quit Poser using the Task Manager and restart it.

Thread: Multiple "center of mass" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I was just about to post a question similar to this. :)
Like Ockham mentioned in his first post, the CenterOfMass props get created for every figure in the scene, and it seems like they get re-created every time you save the scene.
I have some scene files with 4 or 5 CenterOfMass props for every figure: the human figure, the dress, the shoes, etc.
Why in the world do I even need 1 CenterOfMass? And why isn't Poser smart enough to see that the figure already has this prop, so there's no need to add another one... or a third one or a fourth one...
Thanks for the Hierarchy Editor tip- I'll see if I can delete them that way.

Thread: Fault on trying to load Poser 7 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I installed Poser 7 on a friend's laptop and got the same error. I tried lifting the laptop into the air and didn't help. Then we took the laptop upstairs and we got the same error.
We drove downtown, took an elevator to the top of a skyscraper, but that didn't help. :)
Seriously, though, we did a Google search for that error message and quickly found out what the error was (like markschum said, we needed admin access).
But, I agree with Anthony: what the **** does this error mean? The Microsoft programmers should have known better than to simply display an error message like this without any directions about what to do next.
What it have killed them to word the error as "You do not have administrative access to install this software." Then, at the user would know to either switch user accounts, get someone who does have admin access, or disable the "security" completely.

Ockham (and everyone else): go check out all the applications available for Firefox [here](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/). On the left, click Privacy & Security. On the bottom right, under "See All Privacy & Security", click on Most Popular First. My three favorite add-ons are on the top:
Adblock Plus: blocks banner ads and other images.
NoScript: blocks Javascript, which comes in very handy.
FlashBlock: blocks annoying Flash ads, like the ones seen all over Yahoo.
