Thread: WHY DON'T POSER OPEN THE P4S I SAVED IN THE LIBRARY? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you're going to save Figure 1, be sure you have selected Figure 1's Body before saving the figure to the library. This will ensure you save the pose, morphs, props etc. with the figure. If you have selected only the Head, I'm not sure how the rest of the figure will react upon reloading, but the Head should save fine. (Partial poses? I need to look into this...) BTW, I have had great success saving figures with conforming clothes etc. like this. My library overfloweth.
Thread: Intellectual Property and Releases (Or Who Owns What?) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
One word about ownership: Let anyone tell you that you cannot sell/give any program away, ie. sell (complete with all docs and copies et al) a program you no longer use, then watch for their nose to grow. Let noone tell you that you must keep this in perpetuity. There is no law that says you must own anything forever. The new owner will never be the registered owner, and will never get support/add-ons/upgrades, but as long as you keep nothing of the product (no copies) this will generally fall under the 'book use' provision. Keeping even one archive copy is illegal and immoral. And giving credit, even where none is asked for, is good form. And intellectually honest. (clear conscience) MadRed
Thread: Importing Props | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Also, once you DO have it fully textured/sized/assembled, go to the Props Library and add it again, but with the same name. This will replace the one that can't find the textures with one that will.

Thread: I need ideas on what posable figures to create | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I haven't seen any camels, either bactrian or dromedary. And they can then be morphed to llamas, alpacas, etc. Or a Cape Buffalo, wildebeest, antelope, hyena, crocodile/alligator, vulture, and a half-eaten carcass! Maybe some Pleistocene mammals, a Uintatherium, various mammoths, giant sloth, early horse, etc. On the fantasy side, a good cyclops, a minotaur, Cerebrus (multi-headed dog from hell), Bluto (from Popeye), Pink Panther, Agent Smith (from Matrix) With more ideas than time or talent or tools, MadRed
Thread: What to make hair , trees, and complex props with simple maps? Read | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
An-ton! An-ton! An-ton! I'm gonna go make a bush and call it the Anton Shrub. You always wanted shrubbery named after you, right? This sounds great, but I'm gonna need alot of coffee...

Damn! If my finances work themselves out before then, you got a deal! Normally, $75 would be alot for an add-on, but this is several add-ons (all tres bien!) and close to being irresistable. I don't suppose a rain check would be available?...
Thread: Licensing Fee? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
(LOL) Nance, that is almost like saying you don't own your Ford, you just have a right to drive it to work! Funny how they put that in the last few pages, huh?

$15 for a figure from Baumgarten is quite reasonable. His 'Freestuff' postings are excellent. Somewhere is a Cuirass (top & bottom) that works very well, too. And a Roman helmet, and a rectangular shield, and gladius, and pillum. Altogether, it adds up to a good Legionnaire.
