As the devs already explained, they made the break from Python v.2.xx and are now working in Python v.3.xx. Which breaks pretty much all older Py scripts. Even the little ones.

I cannot relax on it doing POST editing at all. The renders are ALL totally out of whack with blown out lighting. That alone makes this unusable. PERIOD. I have found NOTHING that makes it stop other than not render anything at all. When the render is done, I see it for less than a second and the damned POST FX thing takes it and screws it all up.

Good memory Rhia! Yes, I dug it up. "Thank you from Poser Software" is the subject line and 19 MARCH 2020 was the email date. It is a newsletter from PoserSoftware.com

Thread: Does Poser 12 support Genesis 7/8/X models? | Forum: Poser 12
@ Rhia - Yeah but it sure introduces really sucky irony. @ wfbp1w - I agree about using those Genesis 2 thru 8 Figures, plus the Animals, Props and, yes, even the DUF format being directly readable (USABLE!) in Poser 12 as CAN be done thru Genesis 2 with PP 2014. I am not offering any hate. I will use POSER and ANY content I like, if at all possible. Even my own. Such as that is.

@Dustrider - those are great renders! But, just to be pedantic: that nocked and drawn arrow should be resting ON the thumb, on the other side of the bow. With the bowstring inside the nock of the arrow (hence the term, nocked!). Yeah I am terrible, I know it. That said I really like the crispness and palette, and the image on the whole!

ACCORDING TO the Poser Manual, POST Effects are used ONLY with SuperFLY. I am NOT using SuperFLY, just FireFly. And POST Effects ARE BEING APPLIED AND I CANNOT STOP IT!!!!

Does NOT Undo its own mess! Either the render is blown out or washed out. Save setting does not work. Where can we kill this?

FOUND IT! After I bought the upgrade, naturally. (shrugs) Hey at least I found it! LOL! And, anyway, $129.95 is a pretty steep discount from the traditional prices on release day with Posers previous Stewards!

Yep, we've all slept since then. I remember getting that code too, and putting it in a special place I wouldn't forget. And forgot. Sheesh. The Perils of Age!

Grrrr! Historically Poser has used DAZ content. Which has always been the better Figures, hands down. And Poser has historically been the better software (for a LOT of us!).
When someone asks the time, they sure don't want to have Building A Watch Factory explained to them. So with that, it is high time POSER is enabled to use the better content that is readily available. It IS past time to get off your high-horse, Poser Powers That BE. Get off or be knocked off by your very own snotty attitude.
