Subject: A much needed change in the STORE

Hi y'all! I have asked for this one in more than one place. And I know it's absolutely possible, but SALES clearly don't want it so it don't happen. MAKE some EXCLUDE options that are absolute. Same for INCLUDE options. That is NOT redundant! Yes in the MARKETPLACE! Make em Global too. For instance, I want to NOT SEE anything that is DAZ Studio ONLY (like Genesis 3 items are ALL DS only). I want that real bad. I want it so bad that when I see nearly all items on the Home Page are Genesis 3 I just LEAVE, close the browser page. To me it's disgusting, ok? I want to see items that I CAN use in POSER. Nothing else. It is what I use, it is why I am here, nothing else. Simple. THANK YOU! McG.

Not to appear too ungrateful I thank whomever brought the Marketplace Search Options into what they are now. Meaning these search options actually do something useful. Thanks!

But there is still the need to see settings that will be honored globally. If we don't want to see something, nothing should impede that want. The current choice is to just LEAVE. Do you really want that? And from how many wallets do you really want that?

Thank you.

Hello,

I am not really sure how much more you are wanting to hide, pull up, etc.

If you are on the Marketplace home page and click on the "view more" to the far right of "what's new" you will be taken to the "what's new" area and then you can select if you would like to see products you can use in Poser, Daz, or both. Screenshot below:

Then, you can narrow your search way down by using the options to the right.

You can search for products to use in Poser only no matter what page you are on by clicking on the small arrow to the right of "Marketplace at the top of the page.

I hope this helps and have a wonderful day,

ok, I am sorry to be so long getting back to this. Been ill with some 'bug', then when I can get up and busy the desktop won't boot. No OS Found was the error. Get laptop, tablet and phone all s have two et up and working with net/comms and my fave sites. Got parts ordered, will be here next week. It has been great having these 3 lesser devices to do with till I get the main one back up.
That took a while, Kristi, the rest may be longer. I promise to speak nicely though.

I am not a DS user now, I am not going to go back to using DS. I've already seen all that stuff you are pointing out in your instructions.

The only thing I wanted was the simple easy way to turn off the DS only stuff, site wide.

I don't want to wade through it any more to see what I DO want. And none of those options turn off the DS Only Stuff SITE ads and banners. The OBLIGATORY ones we users can't do anything about BUT click on them.

Hey, Kristi, did you know in your screen caps, those ads that are showing are all DS only items? Trying to lighten up with that note. I don't want to make hurt or anger. I just want all users here to be able to freely choose what we see! I reckon if I get it, everyone does. Right? Believe this: if you do this, it will show rather plainly where users really are in this! And what they REALLY want .

I thank you for the trouble you went to for this!

Michael

Perhaps there can be an option to block certain content. Such as a blacklist, which blocks all products with certain tags. That being said, I personally wouldn't use it, and I am unfamiliar with the system that is used to run the marketplace. Perhaps there are options or plugins for that system that allow this.

However, for such an invasive change in the way the site works, I would say that at LEAST 50-60% of the users of this site should wish for this.

@McGrandpa Please do realise that if this is something that will have to be custom coded into the system, this will bring downtime of the site, possible (likely) introduction of bugs and other inconveniences to you, me and other users. I do very much understand your point of view, as I am a devoted DS user, and have absolutely no interest in Poser-only items. However, I see sufficient ways to find what I require. It may be a few more clicks, but that's a minor effort compared to what needs to be done to implement this.

I do not mean to bypass admins or mods, or make suggestions or assumptions that are incorrect. I am just replying from my experience as a senior programmer.
