I made Ghostship's eye shader into an EZSkin 4 plugin. Now it works for all figures :)

After running the "avfix" of Snarlygribbly I got this error message. Any chance of a fix? I'm using Poser 11.2
I have now tested the Perfect Skin SSS Script by D3D, and it seems to work fine when using AVFix. Are sure you had AVFix running at the time?

The EZSkin2 fix is only for Firefly, isn't it? Should I also keep the EZSkin3 for Superfly? Or, will the EZSkin2 fix work for both Firefly and Superfly?
EZSkin 3 does not need a fix and continues to work normally in Poser 11.2. The fix is only for EZSkin 2, which isn't recommended for any version of Poser 11 but some people like to use it anyway, which is why I updated it. I'm surprised it doesn't cause problems in Poser 11 :-D

OK. Thanks. Worked this time and it was fast. Now, can I put EZSkin2 fix into the new Poser 11.2 runtime? Or, where shall I place it?
It can go anywhere you like. However, if you put it into the scriptsmenu of your application runtime, then it will appear in the Poser menu, which saves you from having to browse to the saved location. Best is to just overwrite the previous file, though - it is a direct replacement for it.

For the EZSkin2 fixit, will it still run in Poser Pro 2014, as well as Poser 11.2?
I can't test in PP2014 as I no longer have it installed. Still, it should work in both. Best is to download the latest version of EZSkin2 (see EZSkin_2_fix.zip at http://snarlygribbly.org/poser/ and then AVFix is not needed.

Here is what wx.StockGDI._initStockObjects() does: https://github.com/wxWidgets/Phoenix/blob/master/src/stockgdi.sip
Seems a good idea to call it with every wx PoserPython script.
I have made templates for regular Poser scripts and Poser addon scripts, and this is one of the lines that I consider essential enough to feature in my templates.

My mag zones never looked like that, and I've been playing with Poser for years. In my content's Runtime/Geometries/Deform folder, I keep alternating between my zipped obj files and unzipped files, but it seems to make no difference.
The screenshot shows two copies of each deformer (e.g. base.obj and base.obz), from different installations (see time stamps of files).
Delete the .obj ones (Poser 11.2 only installs .obz files in that folder). Do the same in the primitives folder, especially for the ball.obj which is used by Poser for the Mag Zone. See if the problem is still there when Poser is only using the files from the 11.2 installer.
Obviously, make backups of the obj files before you delete them :)

A major script I use is D3D's Perfect Skin SSS Lite, which will not work in Poser 11.2.
Any chance you have a work around for it? Would greatly appreciate it!
With no clues as to what's going wrong, there's not much I can do. As quietrob says, you need to show the error message.

Is snarlygribbly back? I'm so happy to hear that name again. I feared he was lost after what happened over at . . . um . . . someplace that starts with an *R*. Anyway, his scripts have been wonderful. Are there any new scripts or updates for this new version of Poser?
I see over on his site messages such as "I have no idea if any of these scripts work in the latest builds of Poser"; and "Also, the scripts are no longer supported by Snarlygribbly."
I hope he's coming back and will take up some of the wonderful work he has done.
Hi inquire - thanks for the kind words!
Yes, I am back and thinking about what new contributions I can make to the Poser world.
I don't have as much time as I once did, but the enthusiasm has returned now that our favourite 3D app is in good hands again :)

The error message is indicative of a missing file.
Did you install the script from source, or copy it from a previous Poser runtime?
I suspect the latter, with not all the files having been copied across.
If I'm right, then search for P9SITCPro*.* in the old runtime - it may well not be in a the same folder as the launch script.

Have you tried the fix that Snarly made? AVFix
AVFix is only for scripts that are encountering difficulties with the change in Poser's version number format. It won't help with permission issues.
Normally, if you want to run scripts that interact with poserStartup.py you need to run Poser as an administrator or install Poser to a folder not protected by things like UAC.

Will you be rebuilding the EZmat script? I use it (still) to change maps in shaders so that they populate all like maps in the body (i.e. bring in the arms and it will apply to all "limbs" references. So Time saving!!) but would like to see an update on the wonderful shaders that were for Firefly. Oh, and be able to have a floating window.
EZMat is indeed on my list. It will be a very big job to update it though, as Poser has changed significantly since it was written.
It already can be a floating window, by the way.

I've decided to add this project as a module for my new EZScene script (a replacement for the hack that was SceneFixer). So, there will indeed be a PropLight MkII :)

Is the Advanced Figure Randomizer script compiled (i.e. a .pyc file)? If it's not, we can maybe fix it. Also, where can I get the script - is it still available?
