The problem is - on my version of Vue 7 , 'Always keep level' is replaced by 'Blur'.
I cannot find it (and I have been looking for it last night).
Edit: It must have been a late night - I just saw the option. The first highlighted item to the left of the panel. It looks like a sub panel but it is in reality 'Always keep level'.
I was able to Roll after unchecking it.

On the other hand, you can click on the camera object in one of the 4 viewports and manually rotate it around the Z axis there.

I can confirm the same on Mac. I cannot find how to make the main camera roll in Vue 7.
That and the first time I tried, Vue simply crashed on me when I selected the Rotation tab.
Also - click on the Focus of the camera (the little square in front of it) and then alternate between clicking on the Edit tab and the Measurement tab... strange things happen in that part of the interface. If I click Edit then Measurements, I can see the cube with 3 axis. If I click again Edit then Measurements, there is no cube and '???' displayed at the top of the tab. Clicking again Edit then Measurement brings back the cube.
Very odd.
Thread: What's the longest render time you've ever had for an image in Vue? | Forum: Vue
I let my machine render for 2 weeks once.
I can't remember which picture I was working on because I swore I would not do such a long render ever again.

Looking at the lineup between iMacs and Mac Pros:Your would have to add a 23" cinema display to have the same monitor with a MacPro. That's $899 (or $599 if you get a w0" display).
So, your choice is between a $2199 iMac with built-in 24" display or get 8 times the processing power with $3398 for a Mac Pro with 20" display or $3698 for a 24" display.
The difference in power is at least 8 times - more if you upgrade later in terms of memory and CPU. You should also know that the MacPro, basic configuration gives you room to grow (you can add hard drives, upgrade your CPU or add memory later if you need to).
In other words, you would have to buy 4 iMacs to get the same rendering power as 1 MacPro.
On the other hand, the configuration of the iMac is pretty much locked.
I went with the Mac Pro because I know I will use the 8 cores (already have). This is easily the best computer I ever had in almost 30 years of personal computers.
Looking at your gallery, I don't see why an iMac would not be able to render these scenes.
Also - check out the buyers guide at MacRumours (link attached). They give you an idea of how frequently each product is updated and wether you should buy one at this time or not.
Both models are reaching the end of their cycle - meaning there is a chance they will be updated with better models within the next 3 months. If I were you, I would save until at least February and see what Apple will update next.
Thread: Want an Intel Core 2 Quad PC spec? Roll your own? | Forum: Vue
No ... I meant the old 1976 system :)
My first machine was a ZX81 with a whoping 16K extension memory module. And I did have a flight simulator on it.
I wasn't adventurous enough to build my own system but then again, I was 11 :)

This is all nice and wel but.... does it run Linux ? :)
(for those who would take this reply seriously, this is the standard geek question to showcase of new hardware).

If you want to look at superb 3D environment, check out Farcry 2.
They outdid themselves at the eye candy level from what they did with version 1 and with Crysis. Dynamic smoke and flames, night and day cycles, desert to thick jungle... wow.
The game has weak points, but graphically, it is amazing.
