Indexes is the number of elements in the delta table, in this case 8, you can count them.
NumbDeltas is the total number of vertices of this body part.
In theory there should be 26 deltas in the table (the same number as the vertices number), but as 18 morphed vertices have the value d 0 0 0 it are supressed remaining 8 deltas that are not d 0 0 0. This is done to reduce the table length removing useless information.
The value of indexes must match the number of delta entries. If you change to 9 in your case, Poser will read { as a number and { is not a number and who knows what Poser will do.
If you change indexes to 7 Poser will read d 25 0 0 -0.05835599 when was expecting to read { and again, who knows what Poser will do.

Don't worry, it's not so tragic. The world that the governments want would be a nightmare, but thanks God the members of the goverment are ignorants living in a fantasy world surrounded by idiots and so, in practice nothing of their dreams works. Computers are unable to do what they think that can do and the technologes that they believe that they have only exist in movies.
They went after Napster and shut down when Napster was obsolote, nobody used it and was a malware site (spies). They jailed AlCapone, another great "victory" while Luciano took over all the maffia, expanded maffia to drug traffic and to politics. Created Guantanamo and lost the wars. No matter how marvelous and expensive is the Wonder Woman's invisible plane in practice it is always shot down. And satellites are unable to see what you are doing inside your house, no matter how many Hollywood movies they watched.
Nothing works, maybe it makes a little more difficult citizen's life, but people always find a way to workout the problems.

1)- SOPA/PIPA will give power to trolls and enemies. If you hate some site is just enough to upload a copyrighted material and then make the denounce of your own upload. The site will be blacklisted and turned down and you can say "mission complete" 2)- SOPA/PIPA has no effect on pirates. Links with copyrighted material have a very short life. Pirates upload copyrighted materials in a lot of sites, once it is dicovered the by the owners of the site it is removed and the pirates upload it again at other site. In the past the preferred sites for uploading were just those that most enforced the copyright laws. The application of PIPA/SOPA will leave a trail of blocked and blacklisted sites and pirates will continue to upload at new sites. Pirates can use hacked sites for uploading illegal material, if your site was hacked it will be your site that will be blacklisted and then the pirates will hack another site and the story will repeat itself. Also this can backfire for Hollywood, some can hijack Disney site, upload illegal material and the Disney itself will be blacklisted. SOPA/PIPA Have no effect on P2P, illegal material are hosted in personal computers. Also they can hack your computer and use it as P2P server or mail spammers. The strict application of PIPA/SOPA will have the result of whole ISP providers to be blacklisted and millions and more millions of users left without internet. Machiavello would be very proud of SOPA/PIPA

Thread: Behavior of glossy metals at glazing angles of incidence | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There are many models:
Phong or Blinn variant: Are very simple, can work fine for glossy or not so rough materials. The original were empirical and not physically correct, but there is a variant that makes them physically correct. These models don't work for rough materials and mirrors and are unable to produce the effect that is the subject of this thread. For plastics combined with Fresnel can work pretty well.
Schlick: Is the same thing as Phong or Blinn, but require less computation time. For very specular materials produce the same thing as Phong, but when the material becomes rough the behavior of Sclick is very poor, Phong is much better.
Cook-Sparrow-Torrance: Physically correct for rough and little glossy surfaces. Normally are used for metals. Fail to work with glossy and mirror like surfaces.
He-Torrance: The most complete physically correct model. It can deal with rough to mirror-like materials and polarization effects. It is derived from Beckmann-Spizichino model and is very computational expensive. As I know no rendering engine has implemented this model.
Lambert: The most simple and ideal model for diffuse illumination. Pure Lambertian objects do not exist in Nature.
Lommel-Seeliger: The other fundamental model for difusse illumination. Very few rendering engines has this model.
Oren-Nayar: Model of difusse illumination for very rough materials. It works fine with ceranics and many diffuse materials.
Hapke: Model for dusty surfaces, a must have for rendering planets, moon and vegetation.
And many others.....
What I am doing is working on the complete model of Kircchoff-Beckmann-Spizichino or He-Sillon-Torrance variant and trying to find an approximation that preserve all its features, but has a small computation time.

Specular component is what produce a highlight without producing a mirror image. It can be the normal or alt_specular channel.
Reflective component is what produce a mirror image, it is the reflection channel.
A blurred reflection is a combination of both or a surface that has not its normals smooth.
I don't know how to create this effect, you can multiply the specular value by (1 - X) and the reflective value by X, where X is a function of the incidence angle that has a value of zero at normal incidence and one at 90 degrees. The slope is a function of how glossy is the metal. Maybe Fresnel can work as the multiplying function. I repeat, this is not Fresnel, I am dealing with metals and not dielectrics.
LuxRender has not this effect and as I know no physically correct unbiased renderer is unable to produce it. In LuxRender you can simulate using a mixed material (glossy + mirror) multiplied by the function X, but from where do I get this function ?

For the moment I am not taking into account polarization.

Quote - As Winston Churchill (is rumoured to have) said: Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others that have been tried.
So he decided to try more "other things".

Before terrorists and patriotic act were the Commies, before the Commies were the Nazis, before the Nazis were the Indians. Nothing has changed.
Democracy?, what is that ????

Quote - Well, they let it sit for a week. Still didn't work.
You have to open it, if not moisture can survive years. It's like a keyboard with Coca Cola, coffee or a damned cat. Probably you don't have the tools for the screws or you damage the device trying to open it. So, total loss, buy a new one with the newest features and able to calculate elliptic integrals of the third kindย (For what do you need this ?)
Oh the screws!, every day they invent a new one that you have not the tool for it and don't know where to find one.

Thread: OT On the subject of Monitors | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In all days machines worked for years or decades, when by some reason ceased to work you called someone to fix it or did by yourself and the machine returned to work for years.
Today is not more in this way, when something is broken you don't fix it, you buy a new one. There still exist some people that fix things, but every day is becoming more and more difficult, if not impossible, to fix something that is broken.
I had a monitor that had an integrated circuit burned, no one was able to fix it because no one was able to find this integrated circuits. I tried to contact by internet to the company that made the chip and I found that this company now is selling bananas, well it were not bananas, but nothing to do with electronics. The monitor ended in the trash can and the trash truck get it away with the other food and garbage (I am not green)
Some company makes a product or component, it makes and sells millions and more millions of it. One year later this company makes a new product and no more replacemnt of documentation or costumer support for the old product. Also the company can not exist anymore.
Products are designed to last very few time, it breaks and become obsolete very soon and you are forced to buy a new one.
As things are going, very soon you will be forced to purchase a new monitor, a new cell phone, a..., every month.
Buy, buy, buy, buy and buy, of course, use the credit cards for this. This is the Law

Quote - We still aren't certain if it was the water that killed it or the lovely plastic and glass hitting that nice, hard porcelain ;).
Water doesn't cause harm to cell phones or electronic devices. The problem is to dry it out. As the devices are so small with very small distances between components and conductive trails any small drop of water or moisture will make the device mot work until all the water has evaporated.
