Why is it that paople want to "impose Gods Will" on us rather than have God do the judging? Simpy amazing.

And it's VERY interesting that you bring up that passage - for it was NOT in the original writings written by the apostle. "Let he who is without sin..." was added at a later date. Another error in the Bible. It IS flawed. If you choose NOT to accept that, then you are blinding yourself to the facts - plain and simple.

The reason why religion is injected is because the religious right (NOT to be confused with the common-sense Christian/Jew/Muslim/Bhuddist, etc.) essentially want to impose there beliefs on others. Some things I can completely understand - such as abortion. There is the issue as to when human life really begins and that will be debated for a long time. But when it comes to same-sex marriage...   there is no reason except that they want everyone to believe as they do.

It's sad.

The Bible is not only dated (i.e. role of women) but it is also VERY flawed. There are MANY versions of the Bible and there are THOUSANDS of errors - both intentional and unintentional - in the Bible. There are several books - by Christians, Evangelicals and others - that point these items out. We are NOT talking about laypeople writing books, but Biblical Scholars!! Read "Misquoting Jesus" to get a real idea as to what these changes are. And have you actually stopped to think (before you stated about the last 40 years) that lifestyles have changed considerably? How many mothers stayed at home 40 years ago? How many did in the 80's? How many today? Perhaps it could have something to do with that? Parents today want their schools to teach their kids everything rather than take on that responsibility themselves. To say that it is because we have strayed from God is very sad. You don't need a god to teach morality.

Well Marque, it's BECAUSE people will not allow them to be treated "normally." haven't you read the thread? If same sex couples were actually treated the same as their heterosexual counterparts, we would not be having this discussion. Do you honestly think that they want to be treated special? That's not it AT ALL. They just want the same rights and privileges that EVERYONE ELSE HAS.

Obviously you are not an expert but are quoting others. Taking pieces from here and there does not help. Obviously there are same-sex attractions not based on genetics - some are from child abuse. Regardless if it IS a choice or IS genetic, consenting adults should be allowed to marry - it does not hurt anyone in doing so.

I don't think that's really the point. SM hasn't said diddly-squat about anything having to do with Lightwave and Poser Pro. Nothing like "We're working on it" or "It will be working when Newtek provides us with the proper SDK" or anything. As it stands officially - meaning we know nothing and SM ain't talking about it - a Poser Pro with LW import export capabilities is not in the cards.

If they tell us it WILL happen, then perhaps I and others would upgrade. Ignoring us won't help and only leads us to believe that SM doesn't care about LW users. Simple.

I'm hoping that it's the first possibility - they've been on Christmas break. It would seem odd that they would have a spam filter when using their website e-mail address when MANY people could be contacting them in such manner. We've got filters on our business e-mail as well but I still check EVERY one just in case it's a potentially new client that would like to use our services.

I'll give them till early next week and if no responses I'll look elsewhere.

One quick question. Does this work with LW64bit? I would assume it does since it's LScript - but just wanted to make sure. Considering the price, I think I'll just go ahead and get one copy. If it works as I think it will I will get at least one additional copy for another machine.

Normally I would say that this kind of tech support from e-on is typical, but you must remember Siggraph was this past week and I would assume that they were there. Lots of companies have been slower to respond because of this. That said, I personally can't stand their lack of customer support. But that's just my opinion.

Is this scene not available any more? I get an error message.

Actually...   this will probably be MY last upgrade of Vue as well. I still can't see how E-On can say they've got a "special price" of $50 off when in reality it is NO deal at all. If you want the manuals it is an additional $50 - so there goes the "sale price." It boggles my mind. That and their pricing snafu with the xStream6 upgrade...   I'm looking into Terragen2!
