Subject: Poser animations as ecosystems

I tried and it works when I paint the Ecosystem, but it doesnt when I use the Ecosystem texture

  1. Is that supposed to be so or am I doing something wrong

  2. If it doesnt work as Ecosystem texture, can I populate non-texture ecosystem like texture ecosystems? (the painter is so limited)

um, did you check the density of the objects is such that they will SHOW in the eco material settings?
etc? :)

ie, you may have density (or presence) so low, they won't appear...or some such problem.

did an animation when v5I came out, marching legion using Poser animated folk ;)

oh, sorry...it displays as a texture too, but it doesnt animate

Seems to be a bug, the Poser Ecosystems only animate if the camera is animated too

Unfortunately animating the camera doesnt help always and even when painted with ecosystem painter it doesnt work every time

any ideas?

I bump this as things only get worse. I am using 6.5 now and the Poser ecosystems just dont animate any longer. I tried e-on support but it is a week now without answer.

Any ideas what I could try?

Normally I would say that this kind of tech support from e-on is typical, but you must remember Siggraph was this past week and I would assume that they were there. Lots of companies have been slower to respond because of this. That said, I personally can't stand their lack of customer support. But that's just my opinion.
