And according to the EULA, there's not a damn thing you can do about it. Not even if it reduces your entire system to slag. Happy thoughts!

Yeah, I have to echo lululee. And in my opinion, you are one of the few artists i've seen who actually deserve the EXCELLENT ratings (most often handed out like candy). Exceptional work!
Thread: Free this week, our Omish Well | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
FWIW "Omish" is just an alternate spelling of "Amish". Like "Chanukah" and "Hanukkah". See for yourself with Google.

Thread: Shade 7LE Free for P6 Owners (Serial?) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Is that NOT the serial number on the face of the Shade disk? Seemed odd that they would print it there. But i've seen odder.
Thread: Poser 6 Render CLEAR? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Other than reducing the allotment for renders saved in General Preferences? No other option seems apparent.

Ricardo Montalban is Mexican, not Spanish. HervVillechaize, however, is French. But i'll be damned if I can figure out where Corinthian leather comes from! :)

You could use Poser 6 to dramatically illustrate the event (with great poetic license) and then post it here. Could be the basis for a challenge...."Dramatic illustrations of the service industry".

Looks identical to the Dodge WC-51 over at http://gunpoint-3d.com/model-dwc51.html (which BTW is loaded with great military models)
Thread: P6 review from a newbie | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, pages 85-86 of the PDF reference manual covers it....and you might also search thru this here forum. There was an answer to this exact same question yesterday.
Thread: How do you link Poser 5 and 6 runtime? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Keep in mind that IF you set new EXTRA Runtimes as part of the PREFERRED STATE (as opposed to FACTORY STATE), Poser 5/6 will look for those Runtimes every time you start it up. And depending on the size of your EXTRA Runtimes, that can take a long long time. With P5/6 its also possible to maintain EXTRA Runtimes as small as one character. Its a speedier process if you want to just deal with one character/prop/scene without waiting for 700 other items to load. But it will add the missing Library folders if necessary. Just a consideration.
Thread: New Gallery PLEASE (and the postwork issue again) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"4. it would be nice to see the power of various packages without the skill of the 2d painter being a factor. That way we can make more informed choices about the 3d package we want to buy" ----- This pretty much sums it up. Why are so many of you having such difficulty with this concept? Gad. If I render a Poser (VUE, Carrara, Lightwave) scene with all its bells and whistles, and then render yet again the same scene from a different angle/camera, both renders remain intact products of the program in question and my ability (or lack thereof) to use it. Painting hair, clothing, etc in postwork shows off ones skills (or lack thereof) regarding Paintshop, Photoshop, et al. Cropping, signature compositing, watermarking, web-readiness and the like are postwork processes but they affect the post-render image mechanics as a whole rather than specific artistic "choices". Color correction, saturation, exposure control, etc. are questionable postwork processes. Granted, they don't modify the image in such a way as to prohibit immediate reproduction from various angles, but they do open for questioning the users ability to control these parameters within the program, PRE-render. I think what is being suggested is "Present the render as if you had NO OTHER programs with which to modify it--with the exception of whatever post processes deemed acceptible by 'whomever' (cropping, signatures, watermarking, etc)". All in all, I think a separate gallery is highly unlikely, especially when its something that can be accomplished with flags or appended to the image title. Also consider that nobody (and I mean nobody) who puts 30+ hours into a render is going to do that again from a second angle just to satisfy some no-post infidels. Nonetheless, a VERY intriguing idea. If you can't get it accepted here, there are always other avenues. ah heh heh He said "package handling abilities" heh heh
Thread: time to upset some people | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I stated "a single frame extracted from a security camera operated randomly and automatically in the corner of an empty warehouse". Operated. Past tense. I phrased it intentionally. YOU made the assumption. Admittedly I baited you, but perhaps you should have questioned the situation more carefully before deciding. Think me a troll all you wish. It makes no nevermind. The notion that a collected strip of blank tape presented as art, when even you yourself who collected and presented don't understand your own message, is absurd. But enjoy. I'm not referring to negative space surrounding positive space. I conspicuously said literal nothing. The belief that art is whatever any believer believes it is equates to everything being qua art. However, it also provides for any believer to believe the opposite. "Skill is present in the execution of all works," Egad. "You dont have to like it, but that doesnt mean it isnt art." Nor does liking it mean it is art. "Skill in and of itself is not measurable; however it can be observed in our actions (or productions) and judged relative to others." And how on Earth does this NOT equate to measurement? I find your rebuttal lacking in rationale (although I am sincerely grateful for it), so I will heed Nietzsche's advice and invest my interests elsewhere. I must admit, given his intro, SoulTaker WAS expecting to stir a hornets nest. But you are just as capable of avoiding his posting as he is of avoiding the gallery (as I infer Wolf359 suggested). I now understand that you were trying to help SoulTaker find the art for which he was so desperate. Now it all makes sense.
