Thread: Speed Modeling Challenges, Monthly Challenges, or both? | Forum: 3D Modeling
I'm new to modelling and haven't actually modeled anything yet, but I think a monthly challenge would be great to get newbies like myself started. Then later on down the line speed challenges would be nice. So I guess both.

Make sure that in Poser under Pref. that "use external binary morph targets" is uncheck. If it's checked the morph data will not be in the .pz3 scene file. Hope this helps. Stew451

In Dreamweaver highlight or select what you want to activate the link. In the TagInspector window select the behaviors tab, clik on the "+" and select "open broswer window". When the new menu appears select what options you want and hit "OK". Hope this helps:) Stew

"I wish I could teach something useful here" Oh but you have: "this is all primitives and extrustions layered on top of each other, layer on top of layer." :)

Thread: Poser ?????Should I get it? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello Reciecup, I also have D|S and switched to Poser. Like you I heard so many great and not so great things about it. But curiosity got the best of me and I bought it. I'm not that good with it so far, but it seems so much easier to set up scenes in P6 than it was in D|S. The lighing and camera handling is a lot simpler. dressing your characters is about the same. The material room is a dream, and the capability to create custom pose files is great. The little bit I've played in the cloting room has been a blast. The only thing I can say that I truly like in D|S over P6 is that in D|S it's faster to switch between libraries. That my two cents worth. Oh yeah, if your stateside you can order Poser online from Compusa for $200.00. Stew451

Thanks for sharing. This just cleared up a miconseption that I had about modeling. I thought everything was made from a single object the was extruded and re-extruded. Now I can stop pulling out what's left of my hair and try this approach:) Stew451

Sorry edversyp the car is the AM British Race Car by Hankster over at 3DCommune. I have yet to really try my hand at modeling. From what I've learned from my lurking the best thing to do is to try the various programs in their free or demo downloads and see which one is for you. To name a few that I've heard good about is Blender(Free), Wings3D(free), Carrara 5(demo), Hexagon(demo), Cinema 4D(demo) and as JC mentioned Silo. Hope this helps. Stew
